And Nautilus, your belief that the conservatives are on their way out and liberals will reign free to remake the world in their immoral image may well be false. A study titled 'Shall the Religious Inherit the Earth? Demography and Politics in the Twenty-First Century' demonstrated that religious believers tend to have significantly higher birth rates than nonbelievers and tied that to the massive influx of immigrants from non-secular areas of the world into the U.S. showing that a historic reversal of the long global move toward secularization may well be the future pushing the U.S. to the right. This push to the right may be aided by difficult times (e.g. drought, economic crisis, etc...) which historically posit a move back toward fundamentalism.
 
It's not in the bedroom Nautilus. They brought it into the moral Christian baker's shop remember, and are now deliberately trying to use the government to destroy the baker and impoverish his family.

And Christians are involved all over the world fighting poverty, or sex trafficking, or child abuse, and rape. They certainly are at my church. Your assertion that they are not is false.

I've never been a fan. Something about them makes me feel greasy. Try Bing? They show pretty pictures every day, and pay me points to search. You're gonna search anyway, right? :)
 
I find it ironic that the liberal policy of third world immigration into the U.S. may, coupled with difficult times, be what turns things around for the U.S..

More like the world's gay agenda. Just ignore it. A lot of people attack us Christians for pushing our beliefs on them, but who exactly is the one pushing their beliefs on who? Exactly.

Fixing america towards your vision? Id rather get deported. Im starting to think this might not be a bad idea:

The American experience is underpinned by the key phrase of its founding document: “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” but at this point, this vision is achievable only if the nation were to split in half. Lee Siegel, columnist for the Daily Beast, asked, “If little Czechoslovakia can split itself in two, why can’t we?”
It’s a fun, and paradoxically depressing, exercise to imagine an America without its mostly Southern states. The North could retain “America,” while others have joked the South could rename themselves either the Confederate States of America, or “Smith & Wesson” or “Jim Beam” or some other pro-corporate Southern identity junk.
They could then put immigrants to work on plantations at $1.50 per hour. They could completely put an end to public education, the 40-hour workweek, child labor laws, all the while corporations won't have to worry about things like paying annoying taxes, nor will they need to deal with pesky big government penalizing them for poisoning the water supply, polluting the skies, or intoxicating food. They can have evangelical documentaries, and food shows that celebrate obesity, running 24/7 on their one cable news network. Heck, they can even implement the death penalty for minors, the intellectually handicapped, gays and abortion doctors. With the 10 Commandments carved into the granite of every public building, you now have a Southern nirvana.
On the northern side of this hypothetical border, however, "America" would have universal healthcare, legal same-sex marriage, electric cars, clean skies, no military assault rifles, a livable minimum wage, high tax revenues from a progressive tax structure that underpins massive public investment, strong collective bargaining laws that ensure income equality, and a ban on carbon emissions. “America” would have cities that ranked among the world’s most livable, a high-speed rail network, and also more than one airport ranked in the top 100 as it has today.
In other words, "America" would again look like a first world secular country, a country where it’s probable for an atheist to be elected into public office. A country that was once again able to deal intelligently with real problems - taxes, spending, environment, education, fairness, poverty, and whatever else. You know, the things Obama spoke intelligently about in his State of the Union.
Instead, we are stuck, at least politically, in a 1860s time warp, where half the country is rooted in religious fanaticism, ancient grudges, and demagoguery, while the other half is trying to “move quickly, along scientific and technological lines, into the modern era.” America is two nations pretending to be one. The State of the Union remains divided.

Persecuting someone for refusing to participate in your immoral behavior violates their human rights and their Constitutional rights even if immoral people are able to successfully reinterpret the Constitution so they can persecute moral people for refusing to participate in their immoral behaviors.

The rest of your post is mostly screed imo except for a few points on historical enmities. But those aren't as bad as you are making them out to be. Nothing even remotely approaching say the Sunni Shiite enmity in the Middle East, for example.

The gay agenda and liberal agenda is the same. Make morality moot by declaring there isn't any. A promotion of sexual perversion so the ones who are perverted, can have more sex.

Its not about rights...its about promiscuity.

Why does the left support gay agendas? Because its their agenda too.

Destruction of the american family. Moral ambiguity. Single parenthood. Kids growing up on the government dole, controlled by the government and told what to think by the government.

I think your definition of liberalism is completely different from mine. Liberalism is the idea to be free from the government, so the government should back off even if people make bad and immoral choices in their lifes. And the NSA, IRS and Obamacare are all perfect examples how the government restricts liberal ideas by trying to become bigger and not wanting to leave the people alone.
 
Liberalism IS big government.

Freedom is the acceptance of more personal responsibility. Its not moral ambiguity. Its not do whatever you want to do. Freedom is saying your actions have consequences and you deal with them.

You did not read my post or cannot refute it. I did not attack one liberal. I attacked liberalism, but I understand your confusion. Without personal attacks, liberalism would have no following since there is no factual support for that ideology.
 
Ok well this thread went off topic pretty fast. Anyhow regardless of Google's views on homosexuality, I dont see how any of that has to do with this doodle. The quote from the bottom isnt from Google its the Olympic Charter. I also dont see how the colors of the rainbow means Homosexuality either. We call Republican states red states but everytime i see someone use the color red i dont think it means Republican. This thread is nitpicking and making things mean what they want it to mean.

This modern 'progressive' liberalism; however, acts exactly as soninme pointed out in his post #72 although I would add they also seek to severely persecute everyone that refuses to violate their moral conscience and religious convictions and participate in the activities of the immoral when ordered to do so by the immoral.

I agree. Such terms can be quite confusing sometimes. I consider myself a liberal because I want a smaller government and more individual responsibility and freedom. But perhaps in SonInMe's view this political stance is called something else.
 
the european definitions of liberal and conservative are different.

USA..

liberal is big government, spending, appearance of charity but in reality self serving and often very bigoted.

conservative is respect for tradition, small government and personal responsibility and integrity.

liberal christians tend to pervert scripture and call it outdated

conservative christians tend to be more literal when interpreting scripture and know the bible is absolute truth and relevant.

conservatives give more to charity

liberals want others to give more

bad side to conservatives....might lean toward legalism and not a great willingness to change

good side to liberals...compassionate usually to a fault.

The rank and file of liberal ideology see themselves as more compassionate but unfortunately the truth about the ideology is exactly the opposite.

Both ideologies can suffer from blindness to their own ideology esspecially in research, finding some very unreliable sites for information but believing them because it agrees with their perceptions.

I see no factual foundation to liberalism as its foundation is style over substance and emotional manipulations.

Conservatism without Christ can be self centered and accusatory.
