Im born again and I have a big collection of goosebumps books. Is it still okay if I read them? They don't turn me away from God or anything I just enjoy the story.

if the story(s) are contrary to what God would do, then most definitely get rid of them. Why is a 25-year-old reading kid's books anyway? lol
I agree with this. I don't see the harm.My Post was directed at Jeff56, not you.... Let His Spirit tell you and teach you what He wants you to read.. there are people who will become so LEGALISTIC, not even a magazine or newspaper is allowed in the House, believing these acts of righteousness, Somehow gain favor with God.. God will tell you what He wants you to concentrate on.. not somebody else, trying to mold you into their IMAGE OF WHAT they believe Christ should look like..
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
So I cant read any more pretty much is what your saying? Even though I love God and would never turn away from him isn't it all right to read something as long as I dont take it seriously?

Do you have any better books to read than the goosebumps series? Everything affects us, what we read, what we watch, what we listen to. If I recall correctly, aren't the goosebump books a series of scary ghost stories, pretty much?
I also have books called spinechillers there like goosebumps but with a christian messageI agree with this. I don't see the harm.
Wow, frankly I almost forgot about Goosebumps. I remember reading a fair deal of them back around 1st grade when they were first popular. Seems like you might have a case of 1990s nostalgia.
I would not condemn you for reading Goosebumps for I have read them, albeit years and years ago when I was a child. Personally, if it were me, and the collection were in good condition, I would sell them as you could get a fair price for them.
Being this is CC and all, I suppose it is fair to suggest to give reading the Bible from cover to cover a go.
