I can tell your have studied the Bible and end time events. The real question from your comments is 'Does God want a revival in the Last Days?' The answer is a resounding 'Yes'.
Hello! I have heard teachings and prophecies on 'revivals' since around 1995 when I attended FGBMFI meetings as a teen, then into AOG and other churches, there was always someone promoting 'revival', but I thought the termed was weakly defined. But I just wondered how revival teachings and prophecies would line up with this passage:

Matthew 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

If only a few will find the narrow road to life, how then can revivalism be correct?

God Bless You

As I said in my original post, I was looking for scriptures that foretell a great end-time revival. Do you have any?
The prophecy of Joel quoted in Acts 2 is ongoing throughout this Church age, so I believe we can expect revival IF the Church fulfills the conditions.

Which verses are you referring to specifically; and how do they foretell a great end-time revival? In your view.

Didn't Peter say that that passage was fulfilled the day of Pentecost?
One thing to consider: prophecies can have multiple fulfillments. When this occurs, the last antitypical fulfillment always occurs in the Last Days. and the typical fulfillment of the prophecy is partial and incomplete.

Acts 2:16-18. Especially v 18.' In those days (plural) pour forth of My Spirit'. NASB. I think this incorporates multiple fulfillments throughout the Church Age, possibly culminating in a great end time revival. Just my humble opinion.

We're all welcome to our opinions; I'm just not seeing an end-time revival here.

Sure, but all the promises of God find their ultimate fulfillment in Christ. Last days aren't the last days of history, but the last days of the old covenant.

I think people will still come to the Lord during the great tribulation, but not in large open crowds.

It will be in hiding and in prisons - the people who come to God for salvation will be the people who refused to take the mark of the beast.

I know that this is what will happen. The vaccine is a prototype of the mark of the beast. When the covid vaccine was imposed, there were people who weren't Christian who refused the vaccine.

So it will be in the great tribulation. Us Christians will be in prison for rejecting the mark, awaiting beheading. In the meantime, we can preach the good news of the gospel to these people who reject the mark, but haven't been saved yet.

Joel specifically tells us that the Spirit of God will fall on ALL flesh and in the Book of Acts it's merely just the Jews and Proselytes. This doesn't include future Gentiles.

Zachariah prophesied about the LATTER Rain.

I believe many Theologians have combined the Prophecies of Joel with Zachariah because neither have ever been completely fulfilled.

All flesh doesn't mean all humanity. Previous to the outpouring of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost, the Spirit was poured out on few people and for very specific purposes. Beginning at Pentecost, the Spirit was poured out upon all God was dealing with. Large numbers were praising God, prophesying, and speaking in tongues. You find this occurring throughout the book of Acts and throughout church history.

Zechariah 10:1

NIV: "Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone."

KJV: "Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field."

And yet the other fulfillment of Joel was young men/women seeing visions and old men dreaming which is to coincide with the outpouring of the Spirit. Those days have never been recorded nor mentioned and believed by Scholars and Theologians to come.

I'm merely just stating what's the beliefs and understanding. My views are we will know one way or another in due time.

This doesn't mean it's correct but AI claims by the tabulations of both Scholars and Theologians that the term "Last Days" refers to the entire Church Age or from the beginning of Yeshuas ministry until He Returns.

Therefore, any prophecy connected to such specific terms would and could mean up to the day of the Rapture. This makes it very possible to think a final days revival could take place. After all, in the 1960s, 70s, even throughout the 80s numerous week and weeks Long including months long revivals took place all over the United States especially throughout the known Bible Belt States.

Hi Cameron,
I beg to differ on your point on 'all flesh'. When water is poured out, we must decide whether we want to drink it or not.
In the same way, the Holy Spirit is pouring out His spirit on everyone, but not everyone will drink it in...only the thirsty.
His desire is for everyone to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.
