Hi all,
First time here I am Allen 71 years old and been a Christian for many years and like to understand and search the scriptures to find the answers to the hard stuff.
Things like I assumed the 2 whitenesses in revelation must be Enoch and Elijah because they are the only 2 people in the Bible that didn’t die and because of the scripture that everybody has to die once human logic then assumes the 2 whitenesses would be them.
But I have now gone back to the old assumption of them being Moses and Elijah ( representative of the Law and the Prophets ) because in the Bible there are 5 raptures Enoch, Elijah, Jesus, the rapture of all the Christians those asleep in Jesus and most importantly those who are alive and DON’T DIE plus the 2 whitenesses themselves.

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and there are many things in it that a lot of Christians can’t be bothered to work out when the answers are there to be discovered and give the believers more faith and an uplifting way to go forward especially in these last days.
Eg I read this verse often as it keeps popping up in daily light and other stuff I read and it just passes me by but it has a fuller meaning.

Psalm 119:105

105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Just realised what this actually means.

In the Greek and Hebrew lamp is a single oil lamp or like a single candle meaning only any good for each step that you take.

But Lamp means like a flood light or like daylight to guide you on the path of your life.

Hi Maestro , nice to meet u , I also enjoy studying either the harder or more obscure parts of the Bible . I especially love the Old Testament and finding ways in which the Old is a foreshadow of the New . It helps my faith enormously to find the symmetry , patterns , beauty and perfection in God's Word . God is perfect in His creation , I don't believe in coincidences , especially not Biblical ones . My hubby is a writer and he says that everything in a novel should either , advance the plot or reveal something about the characters . This has helped me to understand that everything in the Bible is significant , it's there to teach us something . Every time I read it I c something new and I've been reading it for 30 years , I'm hoping that I will always find new things in there that I didn't notice before , it's like a bottomless treasure chest !

You will always find new revelations in Gods word that will always increase your faith.
There is so much in revelation that is not to difficult to understand but Christians seem frightened to work it out and so much wrong teaching like they describe the millennium as Heaven and keep saying the lion shall lie down with the lamb as there is no such scripture ( wolf )
My wife was also a writer for UK historical magazines, Christian magazines, and craft magazines.

Many thanks for your welcome I live in the lake district Cumbria and follow a lot of youtubers that have moved to the UK so know a lot about how the land of the free works.
As you know the main thing that they worry about is healthcare and what a relief it is to them not having to go bankrupt if something bad happens.

I don't worry too much about dinosaurs , I don't know why I don't but I just don't . There seem to me to b many possible explanations . One is that maybe God created them and then decided to destroy them the same way that he did in the days of Noah ? Maybe they r a total hoax by the scientific community ? I don't put much faith in what archaeological types say , we can't really have any idea about life or the possibility of it so many millions of years ago and if u listen carefully they always , without fail , say things such as ; we think , maybe , it could be that ...' etc . Why would they want to try to convince us of something that they themselves r not convinced about ? .
My hubby writes novels and yes he is a Christian .
As for unrighteous mammon , thats easy enough as it is everywhere . It may not always b illegal but it's often immoral . For instance , I know someone , not a Christian but if u asked her she would say that she is , she cleans house for an older disabled man , her pays her well and she doesn't declare this money . That's not my business , he recently gave her a weighty gold necklace that belonged to his deceased wife . So , it's his necklace now and he can of course do what he wants with it . He does however have a son . If I was in this woman's shoes I would not have accepted the necklace . It would not feel right to me to take a necklace that this man's son might b looking forward to owning one day as a keep sake of his dead mother . That's just my judgement on that matter , others may disagree .
There r sooooo very many examples of unrighteous mammon , we all need to think carefully every day , to guard ourselves from greed and covetousness , me included . We have to b able to recognise these things in us and want to try to correct them . Before I was baptized I used to love roulette , I would still like to have a go just for the excitement of it , but I haven't for very many years and I don't ever intend to . I must learn to trust in God's provision for me .

The scriptures can support this So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Then the creation of Adam comes later.

This made me think of Christ’s crucifixion and more importantly the resurrection.
Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father.
Always thought it strange and why Jesus said the above because He was touched by other disciples.
So I have come to the conclusion that after this incident Jesus went to heaven and back to earth several times before He finally went to heaven for good.
Did you know that 2 tectonic plates collide in Israel, so when Jesus returns there will be an earthquake the prophetic scripture says.
In the scriptures say at Jesus crucifixion that there was an earthquake, well the Dead Sea has receded in the past few years and geological surveys of the strata now available prove that an earthquake happened within a 5 year margin of Christs crucifixion.
