Hi Mooky...I think if the truth be told, we have all been where you are, remember that God gives us beauty for our ashes Isaiah 61:3...Let your tears flow, for God collects ALL our tears and puts them in a bottle, he gave you tears to mourn your sorrows, and in return He gives us His Joy...Your past is exactly that, don`t sit and think in detail about every little thing you have done wrong, give it all to Jesus, and once you have give our Lord all your burdens, He will give you rest, what a Wonderful Mighty God we serve...The devil will always remind us of our past sins, but we can tell him to get behind us just as Jesus did...God knows your heart, He knows where you are at, when my past sins come back to haunt me, i remember i am a new creation in Christ, and i am forgiven, your past memories will become less and less as you grow in your faith, keep on keeping on, we may not be where we want to be, but thank God we are not where we used to be...xox...:)

If you have a moment , please pray for my grief and loneliness.Grief because of some terrible things I have done in my past and my loss of innocence.Lonliness because once again as circumstance would have it , I am in a new area at a new church having to prove myself with new people with whom I feel little rappore.Sometimes , as a single person, only child and introvert ...I feel sort of disconnected from others.At present I am doubting God's existence.Even though I have experienced miracles.
Please pray that I grow through this sadness and grief and the unrealistic expectations I have for myself.

Hugs, Mooky! Here's your list of heart pains.

Lost you innocence - Forgiven by the Lord
Lonely - Invite someone for supper from church.
Having to prove yourself to others - Erase, you don't need to prove yourself.
Single - It's a blessing whether single or married. Each is a gift from God.
Only Child - Well can't change that, but you can find a sister in Christ which is far better.
Introvert - Me too, that's my natural inclination, but God has super changed me.
Disconnected from others - Maybe reach out, ask someone over for supper?
Doubting God's existence - It happens, but you know in your heart of hearts He IS.
Experienced miracles - They are super love kisses as we remember them - we feel loved.
Sad and grieving - So sorry, Mooky! HUGE SUPER HUGS!
Unrealistic expectations - ​How true for all of us! ​

One thing that helped me in my daily suffering was when I noticed that David, a man after God's own heart suffered, grieved and was depressed.

Sometimes we take this on as a sin. I guess because others tell us it is. But it's really heartache and God is the healer of our painful heart.

As I read Psalm 42:

David was speaking to his soul. Why are you, O soul, so downcast. Why are you so depressed within. I could really hear his heart through this Psalm.

David is in such grief and turmoil of soul, so what did he do. He told his soul to put His trust in God, his Lord and his Savior. And it looks like he continually did that when we read the Psalms.

We need to remind ourselves of God's goodness and mercy, that His grace is available always in the shadows of the night and during the suns rays of the morning. Depression can hit us at any moment and blindside us.

So I have learned to speak to myself, my soul when I'm struggling with life. I read a Psalm out loud so that my ears can hear God's word. I might cry out and weep over God's word as I beseech Him for the peace and comfort I need.

It's beautiful and lifts me every time I go before Him like this. I know we are all different and what I'm sharing might not be the way God will help you or speak to you, but as you seek Him, He will meet you however you connect with God through prayer, studying His word, praying the word out loud back to God or however He may lead you in your quiet time with Him.

The thing is, is that we need our quiet time, our alone time with Him. I don't feel lonely when He becomes my first and foremost friend.

Looking without isn't always the answer when we try to heal our emotions. Finding peace from Him will carry us through everything life might throw at us. I know that I've looked for help in all the wrong places. Not that it was sinful help. We might prepare or purchase some type of food or drink to make us feel better. Or we might go and watch a movie with a friend or to for a walk. Maybe play a board game or go and work out at the gym or play a round of golf. It's doing something we enjoy, but it won't heal the pained heart.

Only God can do that.

Corrie ten Boom is one of my heroes. I so admire that woman and can't wait to meet her in heaven. She's someone who's been to hell and back and when she speaks of God's love, I sit up and listen. :)

In one of her books she says that all of our sins have been dumped into the ocean of God's love. And you know what, He has placed a huge sign in the ocean of that abundant love that says, "NO FISHING ALLOWED!" This simple thing has so helped me when I needed some reassurance of God's love for me.

So I've deleted my past from the shelves of information stored in my brain. And if satan tries to bring up something in my past, when it comes into my mind I simply say, thank you Lord for your forgiveness of all my sins, every single one.

Just saying that out loud, makes the reality of what God has done a done deal in the depths of my soul. And I'm set free! May God set us all free from ourselves and from the enemy and his lies today and forever!

And another thing that Corrie spoke of was God's deep ocean of love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.

I had a visual of a hand and a pitcher filled with love from heaven, pouring all that love into our hearts to overflowing. It's a never-ending pour of love......and that love helps us through life's trials.

And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:3

Jesus said in this world we will have tribulation, but take care for I have overcome the world. We know that whatever we go though in life is for a purpose.

- We learn to persevere under trial
- We exercise our proven character (He's the only one we have to prove anything to)
- Our proven character brings us hope that doesn't disappoint because you have God's love poured into your heart by the Holy Spirit whereby we cry out, Abba Father (Daddy) and He's right there with you always to hear your voice, to heal your hurts and pain and to empower you to live out His will in your life.

And as we go through the trials of life we begin to realize that we need to put realistic expectations on others instead of unrealistic ones and when they fail we need to be quick to forgive. I always consider my own failures and when I do that it gives me compassion for others when they fail.

Because we all will fail - we're human and not divine. But we all grow in fulfilling our Godly expectations to others as we continue on the journey. Hallelujah!

Sorry for the length, but you touched my heart in a big way. And I just wanted to help if I could, so I thought I'd share some of my own experiences because they helped me and I hope that something I've said might help you as well.

Love in Christ!!! He is the way to where you're headed, He is the truth we need to live by and He is the life, the only life that is true life. He is our hope in times of trouble, He increases our faith to believe the impossible and His lovingkindness is everlasting.

i can relate, and will be praying daily for you mooky. i learned that God is able to take even our unpleasant experiences and bring us closer to relying on Him, in order to truly appreciate His Love and the fact that He is with us in the worst and best of our lives when we accept Jesus. Not always easy or fun, but i hope sincerely that the Joy of the Lord break forth into your heart and Life ! God bless you in every way suitable to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ !!
 
May you keep yourself in the love of God. May the Lord shield you and lift you up, for the Lord will sustain you. Do not be afraid. I pray that God will encourage you and bless you with healing. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Hi there, glad you are feeling better now and doing stuffs that help you to build up your faith and renew your mind. Romans 12:2 says "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.... " God knows how sometimes our mind can be weak and takes comfort in thinking about negative stuff. He reminds us to stay vigilant in 1 Peter 5:8-9 in our thoughts and resist all negative thoughts that will bring you down.

You are created to be loved and God loves you so much. Be sober; Be vigilant. God Bless!
