I do not know of many great 9mm revolvers. At least ones that are really cost effective.

.38 special handles a lot like the 9x19 depending on the gun.

If I were to get a revolver, I think I'd go for a .357 Magnum. I'm not much of a revolver guy though.

I do hope the some of the people that have come on the forum for the express purpose of spreading political propaganda in view of the election, will have less reason to stir up trouble here on the forum. :(

There has not been and never will be a pistol that can replace the 1911 .45 ..in my view

I'm definitely more partial to higher capacity plastic pistols chambered in modern 9mm loads.

I respect the 1911 for what it was/is. Browning was a genius.
 
Especially if it is a hand-crafted 1911 by a company like Wilson Combat. I might even carry that now and then. Mmmmmmmmm

I trained with some old school Marines with the 45 back in the 90s shot a million rounds with that pistol ..the knock down was always sold to us ..and the feel of that pistol was like part of my body... I have tried some of the newer pistols ... just never felt right ... ammo so expensive now, I don't think I could ever afford to really shoot as much as it would take what I have with the 45 in comfort and reflex

Well, considering how far this country has gone, it's going to take more that just an election in our favor to get us back on the right track.

Precisely. Politics is driven by culture. If we wish to avoid persecution or at least handle it the right way, we have to focus on the culture which drives politics.

Seize entertainment and news. Attend church more frequently. Really know and embrace our values as Christians. Particularly those of us blessed enough to live in the Southern oasis.

Even this Glock guy will admit that it's generally easier to shoot a 1911. I mean that trigger cannot be beaten (it's why the gun needs a hammer, an external safety, and all those other things I do not want to bother with when carrying IWB).

Now I've gotten to the point that I'm so well-practiced with striker fire that I kind of suck with the 1911. At least compared to where I used to be with it.

Again, the genius of it is, I think, the trigger. Wow wee.

Yea I think its about shooting a certain pistol for the most part, but the 45 just seems so natural to me. and a man who knows how to reload a clip will never miss those extra rounds ..if he ever got into that kinda firefight
 
I'll never forget the day I was first handed a Glock after plinking with a 1911.

I really felt like somebody handed me a phaser.

You guys are making me feel so left out! I've never had the honor of trying out a 1911. Unfortunately, my access to guns other than my own is very limited, and even with my guns I rarely get to practice with them :/

Ugh, it's so pretty! Several years ago I was looking at one that has a stainless finish (the silvery shiny finish) for 700$ But for one I didn't have enough money for it at the time, and for another I didn't know what the going price was. I ended up buying a Ruger P94.

You should put something in the Church bulletin ;) I'm certain somebody in an Arkansas church has one for you to fire.
