Guys: Pursue or not to pursue

Asking a lady out on a date

Wondering if guys like if the girl is the one that asks him out on a date, or if he rather do it.

Call me old fashioned, but I'd like to be the one to ask the girl out. That said, female pursuit isn't a total turnoff. I'm just not particularly ready for a relationship and like the responsibility of initiation. It means few unwanted advances.
 
IMO if a guy wants a girl to ask him out, he has self-esteem issues or is much too timid. If he can't man up and ask a girl out, he's not strong enough to take care of a lady.
 
If a girl likes me, then ask me out I dont mind. I honestly dont care who asks who.
 
If I'm interested in a girl, I will pursue her. If not I won't. I'm not one to just casually date whoever for whatever reason, so if a girl I have no interest in were to ask me out it would just be awkward, and most girls I do take an interest in just happen to have the same preference of the guy asking.
 
Either way. I've gone both routes before. Usually if both parties truly are interested, meeting/phoning/all that good stuff magically find time and ways of happening.
 
Its really hard for me to build up the courage to ask a woman out so it would be great if the woman asked. I was actually asked out a couple times and I was on cloud nine both times because it made me feel really special. That was a long long time ago though. Now women run the other way when they see me coming :/
 
For me i have had 3 girlfreinds i realy liked one i got married too but we are not together anymore any ways all 3 asked me out i didnt even notice one of them so if she didnt ask me out i would have never dated her so i dont think there is any thing wrong with the girl asking the guy out if your interested in him he might not know it if you dont ask him on a date or at least let him know you like him if you dont want to ask him out chances are good he will ask you

I can definitely relate to this. But then I just have to remind myself, if I'm supposed to be a leader in a marriage someday, how can I lead if I don't have the courage to ask a girl out on a date? It's a first step for many in my mind.
 
I think all in all the essence of leadership is in the role of the male ... That's just me .. I respect their position , therefore will reserve "their right" to step into that role... I'm reserving my energy to ward and chase off unwanted predators instead...
 
Maybe it's like dancing.
The guy needs to lead, but the gal can't rest on her feet either.
 
From a guys perspective, there is no single answer. Some guys hate being asked out, some guys don't care. It comes down to the guy, the individual.
 
Don't be shy ladies. Just do it! :)

guys are taught always to pursue and the girls make the guy really chase you and work hard its in the world and the same in the church too. some cosmic social rule.......
 
I can ask a woman out, she can ask me out, who cares. Most times I just want to hang out with a woman. I don't seem to meet women that I have a spiritial connection with. It happened once a few years ago. So for now I just chose to hang out as friends. I seek the godly spirit in a woman first, without that the physical means nothing to me. Spiritial things are always happening to me , I need someone who understands these things and can walk in the spirit with me. I anticipate things getting even more intense in my life as the years go by, so its important. LoveAlways
 
It absolutely does matter !

Guy should ask and guy should also quickly reveal he is a Christian. You can just about guarantee, miladies, if he speaks with you for 5 minutes in checkout line that if he don't mention Him he is not #1 in His life. And, He should be. :)

There is such a thing though, as the Lord leading us and we following Him in our Christian walks and this would be a very rare time for girl to ask guy out but never way never when God is in relationship with you. :) , YES, all things are possible with God, for God, and, of God , we do not have a mind like God's even though when we take on His Spirit, whilst however He leads, we have the 'mind of Christ,' and, therefore, we can understand 'even the deeper things of God,' 1 Cor. 2 states, and, so, let it be Him leading, He does show us all Truth, and, that is so in our anxious wondering/asking dating moments too :)
