It's hard to believe that the year is almost halfway over - already!! It has really flown, for me at least.

Are you where you thought you'd be? Have you done what you wanted to do? Do you have plans for the rest of the year? Has God stretched you, strengthened you?

Just a reflection post or to share exciting things. :)

This year is going by fast for me, too. In January, I felt like February would never arrive, because I was waiting to have my daughter. That last month of pregnancy...seems like it takes forever.

After I had my little girl, though, it feels like one minute it was winter time and I had a newborn, and then I blinked and KA-POW, she's nearly 5 months old, and I barely remember anything from the last 4 months.

And yet my days feel, individually, like they just creep by slowly.

I thought I was doing alright then some things happened about 2 weeks ago that really depressed and bummed me out. So now Im trying to figure out my next move.

Haha noooo I'm not. I'm really looking more at the long haul, though - as in a few years down the road, where will I be?

I have "intentions" instead of plans. I've learned to leave the planning up to God (even if I still scramble for my own agenda from time to time).

What about you, Rachel? :D

Congrats!

I know that feel, bro. I'll be praying for ya. :)

You're still doing alright, naut, you're with Him :)

But, sorry to hear of your things happening, the Lord leads, just keep following Him, He is right there by your side, and, also inside, living, breathing, helping you every step of your way, bro :)

You need to just get out in the garden and tackle them weeds, that'll make ya feel all besser, mizzcris :)

Amen. Our plans should be focused on His plans for us. We just need to realize, as Ephesians 2:10 says, we are "His workmanship,' and we are 'created to do good works.' Isn't that fascinating thought? :) God's intentions for us are to do His work, and, His works for us are 'good.' :) We might think what God has us doing for work is bad, but, it's not, it's all His plan, we are to keep the faith, that is, remember His grace that He gave us, dying for us, and, realize all the blessings of our past living that He's already given us, and, just focus our future on His guiding Spirit for ours :)

Someone posted on Facebook the other day how many days left until Christmas, not many. My goal was to organize my house in a more orderly fashion this year. Well I broke my ankle and then that kind of went haywire. But I'm still working on it, I still have some time.

The past six months have been a blur for me. My life has drastically and unexpectedly changed. I now expect even more epic changes over the next six months. :)

Same here! So many changes, but I'm so excited to see what God has planned. :)

My goal for this year was to Start Moto Vlogging.... That hasn't happened. I have a broken CB600 and I don't make enough to really put a dent into fixing it. So that is on hold until this fall.

I'm on a 1 year self imposed relationship Sabbatical, so far so good. :)

"Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.”

Just thought this story would help....

It has flown! I've barely done any summery things! On the plans for the rest of the year... just booked me a ticket to India for December say whaaaaaaaat?

I'm not where I thought I would be (I moved to Mexico) but I guess I did what I wanted to do, I saved some money to do some things that I wanted to do and I worked in places where I learned new skills. I'm moving back again though (to the US) and I just don't have any plans right now. I'm still figuring it my plans. And yes, God has stretched me....and quite honestly sometimes I felt too weak to think he was strenghtening me, but when I think of it, He definitely was. This year has been surreal.

Yeah, I guess I could answer, couldn't I? :P

This year has flown, and there has still been leftover pain from last year and new pains from this year, but God is bringing healing in amazing ways. I'm not where I thought I'd be, but honestly, I have no idea where I thought I'd be. Much like kayem, God has stretched me when I didn't think I could be any more, when I thought I was too weak. In some ways, I still am, but I am starting to see why God brought me here to IL. For me to heal and learn, from people who can teach me to do that.

My family is fine and healthy, He has brought great friends into my life, and I have a job. I can't complain, and I can't wait to see what He has in store for me over the next 6 months. :)

I'm hoping to make a trip to South Dakota either this fall or next year. Or I might be going overseas to visit a friend next March. I don't have much support for the overseas trip, because it's to a place that is having riots right now...We'll see.

ETA: Liamson, would you mind sharing what brought you to do that self-imposed relationship sabatical? It's alright if you'd rather not, I understand. I have thought of doing something similar. I have never been in a relationship, nor do I have any prospects, but I just want to not even focus on it right now. I have issues I need to work out in myself, first.

In six months, I graduate.

That trips. me. out.

Granted, I still have more school to go, but I'll have a degree. In the medical field. I will be caring for people and I won't be allowed to hurt them or kill them or punch them in the face when they irritate me.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

I'll be an actual grown up, and I'll have the ability to get out of this HORRIBLE state. Or at least get out of the valley.

That just... yeah.
