God has never surrendered anything to any pagan group. Because pagans used candles, churches can never use candles? If pagans created a book first churches can't have a Christian bible? Pagans could have started many things that we don't know about, but God can take anything and use it for His glory.

If pagans created a game with a sheepskin ball and a stick we can't play baseball because it may have had pagan roots? It's hypocrisy to call everyone else a hypocrite.

Well, according to your logic you are now a hypocrite too. Strike 1. Guess you kind of blew it in that feeble attempt. And, it's quite obvious you missed my point on top of it. Strike 2. I did think it through, i didn't judge. Strike 3... YOU'RE OUT!
 
Look!! Halloween is over! The self-righteous fingers have been pointed and the condemned mocked. Can we PLEASE let this thread die until next year?!!! Beside it's almost Thanksgiving now--should'nt y'all be getting ready to cast stones at whoever celebrates that day? lol :)

Wait we are to condemn Thanksgiving Day? No!!! Say it isn't so.... I want to get married on that day....It was my Dad's Birthday November 27th....just happens to be Thanksgiving this year.....Still looking for a person to marry us in Las Vegas....Have a call out to two different churches trying to get a Pastor to give up 10-15 minutes of his Thanksgiving Day....Help!!! I guess push come to shove we can get married on November 26th and just rebel and celebrate on the 27th...lol Bye, Bye Halloween until 2015.....

With all due respect, you're the one who posted again 7 hours after the last one so perhaps you're not letting it die?:p

In all seriousness, I believe Thanksgiving to be completely different than christmas or easter. I have no problem with civic holidays whatsoever. What does concern me is the taking of specific pagan holidays and traditions and trying to "redeem" them for God by doing the same things as before, just with a slightly different twist on them.

But I'm completely willing to let this one die so long as you create an appropriate christmas version of it!:)
