I'm guilty. Hopefully there is hope..another thing I'm getting from study is that, articulating all the right things is not nearly as important as living the yoke of Messiah. [SUP]

Is my habit to examine whenever bible is quoted and no exception here...

is the day of union with God

In my view, it shows God that we're willing to do what He says because we love Him enough to do what He says.
For me, it's an opportunity to set a day aside from what is common and spend the whole day in service to Him and His people in a set apart way.
For others, I pray they're blessed by whatever service God asks of me.

If Rome couls have wiped out the Bible they would have won the big controversy over religion
But God would not allow it
all you have to do is read the Bible through prayerfully and you will see
its all about the Sabbath and baal worship
even in revelation it is about
commandment keepers and lawbreakers

The Blood of JEsus saves
but the life in heavens kingdom is all about the law of honor and love to God
God is number one
commandment 1-4
men are our brothers
commandment 5-10
and that is love.

Sabbath is made for man. God is happy when man live it according to His will. God is not happy when man desecrates His Sabbath. The bible recorded that but I guess you probably know.
It does bad for others especially merchants who sell worldly entertainments because they don't get my business.
It does bad for those who are against Sabbath because it takes up their time to keep writing against it.
Not sure which group you belong to though.

Not that I am against helping those you mentioned but the King specified that they are His brothers and sisters.
Then this comes to mind: Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Sabbath starts with sundown Friday night and last until sundown Saturday night. No I thought it was Thursday when it was actually Friday.
But a man road into town on Friday and stayed two days and left on Friday, how is that possible? LOL
