I'm looking for people to talk to and connect with after being extremely lonely and isolated for a very long time and having an extremely difficult month.

The month of July has probably been the most difficult month of my life considering I've been having multiple panic episodes due to what seems to be many stressors in my life and medication issues, I've been talking to my doctors and my psychiatrist wants to get Fluoxetine out of my system and that'll take 12 weeks.

I am a born again Christian with Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and savior, however I'm having difficulties with faith at the moment due to everything that has happened, but I'm fighting right now, I almost gave up a few times but I'm hanging in there.

What I'm looking for is simple friendship and community and maybe talk about hobbies and interests.

Hi Jacobfaith so glad the Lord led you to CC, welcome! Sorry to hear about your circs, there's no local church where you're at I guess. If not, CC is a wonderful way to get connected with other believers, have a look through the Forums, jump in and make some friends😊 God bless you and your endeavors🙏🙌

Sorry to know about your difficult season. May the Lord richly bless you.

The sermon my pastor has been covering for the last few weeks in on the topic "Don't Quit"

Maybe a couple of points of the sermon might encourage you as it encourages me:

God had has a plan for your life too.

When our focus is on Jesus, eternal value, that is what will make us strong.

Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
3 He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord.

GOD'S Word is inexhaustible. A single verse is inexhaustible no matter how many times you read It.

God is with you, brother Jacobfaith. Jesus loves you.

Hold fast to Jesus.
" be still, know that I am God"

Pray loudly to Him in your private room.
Pray with a partner together.
Pray in every breath when hard moment hits.
Give thanks to God for every good moments.
Carefully listen to God.

Lord be with you, brother.

Sorry to hear that you've been having such a difficult time, keep fighting and hold onto that faith. I'm born again as well and currently going through what feels like the scariest period of time I have ever been in.

I've suffered from panic episodes as well so i know they arent what you'd call fun.

Here to chat about whatever you want, or if you just want to get things off your chest, im always happy to lend you an ear.

Welcome! And keep pushing through. Behind grey clouds are blue skies.

Hey, Jacob. So sorry to hear about your troubles. As we get to know more about you, we can probably help you to overcome at least some of them. For now, seeing how you're single, and seeing how you're looking for simple friendship and community, you might want to check out the Single's forum here. There are a lot of nice people there, and it's pretty therapeutic. Welcome to the forum, brother.

Hey Jacob it is nice that you joined welcome that sounds tough there will be tough seasons and easy seasons if you hang onto your faith you will become stronger in your faith than you ever have keep believing in yourself hope for the best and will be praying that a good season will arrive

I find myself wondering if text communication has some part in the general sense of disconnection, loneliness, and isolation. I mean, it just doesn't seem as "personal" as a letter written out might. I've came to wonder at this when I noticed how connected I feel to the God when I choose a Psalm and write it out with pen and paper. This thing I do may qualify as a hobby or interest because I like to do this, and there are 150 Psalms to choose from. And when I do, it's like I writing as the author, or at least "one" with the writer that authored it.
And, seeing how many Psalms that were written, the authors did this often while they were feeling the same way I do and often find myself encouraged with the words that they wrote. They wrote in order to encourage themselves as much as their readers. And, because God inhabits His word, and you can count on that because scripture tells us so, He "inspires" His word just the same as He did in the original copy, and they seem to 'sink into' my current existence.
