No I turned out as someone who loves and desires God with every fiber of my being, I like harry potter, as for why is because it is a good story.

J.K. Rowling is an Anglican and the only real witchcraft (there's very little of it) is done by evil wizards and never glamourised or glorified. There's even a class called "Defence Against the Dark Arts". In our world that would be called "Spiritual Warfare".

I guess that essentially is what magic is. Usually not the devil though, but one of his lesser minions.
It's magickal, isn't it..
Part of you wants to live in Harry Potter's world.
There is part of him in you now.
You have a Harry Potter Horcrux planted within you.
And you thought Harry Potter was just a children's story.
So the good witches and wizards do quasi-witchcraft and the evil wizards do the real?

I'm not a Harry Potter fan, but that was just weird. And not likely to change anyones mind.
It wasn't weird. It was magic from Harry Potter. And it is irrelevant if it changes anyone's mind.

I also watched the first episodes of Harry as they came out, justifying it as I noted in my previous post. The story is captivating - I don't deny that. Most good stories are.
It wasn't until some years later, when I started reading and hearing about the effects (e.g. children becoming interested in witchcraft), that I started to realise Harry for who he truly was, and then Narnia, and then even Cinderella. :|
@1disciple - I don't know what a Harry Potter Horcrux is, but it sounds painful! It made me laugh.
If Harry Potter is captivating, then why do some say witchcraft and wizardry are not real? If they were not real, the masses would not be bewitched by them.

Wizards are born with the ability to perform magic, ordinary folk (Muggles) can't do it. But the magic the good guys and girls do is nothing like real world witchcraft, it's more akin to fairytale magic and the magic found in The Faraway Tree books by Enid Blyton.
So, to maximize my magickal potential, I need to make certain that I am squarely aligned with the forces of the dark arts, right?

I would play it safe and stick to reading and raising the little ones on biblical stories.There are so many really exciting and engaging stories that I am sure you and your kids would love.There is noahs ark,daniel in the Lions den,david and goliath,joseph and his coat of many colors,Jonah and the whale etc.
As Christians we are to separate ourselves from the world and things of the world and flee the very appearance of evil.
i believe harry potter stories and the like is the way the devil is using to demonically oppress and indoctrinate our kids.
We are becoming too desensitized to books and movies like harry potter.we really need to ask for more discernment concerning these things so we are not exposing our kids to demonic elements.
cartoons,video games,movies,boardgames and books are not as innocent as they used to be.The devil has a little time left and he will use any avenue he can get while causing us to overlook them.

Cinderella seems like a story that appeals to little girls. Narnia is pretty good. As for Harry pothead I never saw the appeal. A goofy looking British kid does magic? Yeah I'll pass.
Harry Potter loved his father and mother more than anything in the world.
But he still had a Horcrux from He-who-must-not-be-named.
