When I hear people quote “there is neither Jew nor Greek…neither male nor female” as if Paul were erasing all distinctions everywhere, I immediately see the hermeneutical failure you’re pointing out: Paul is speaking about equal access to salvation in Christ, not the abolition of created distinctions, covenantal roles, or embodied realities. If someone insists that “Jew/Gentile distinctions no longer exist in any sense,” then consistency demands they also insist that male/female distinctions no longer exist in any sense—and that is exactly the logic used in modern gender‑ideology movements. The irony is that those who weaponize Galatians 3:28 to deny Israel’s ongoing role in God’s plan never apply their own interpretive method to the rest of the verse, because doing so would force them into the very gender confusion they claim to oppose. Paul’s point is simple: in Christ, no group has superior access to salvation—not Jews over Gentiles, not men over women, not slaves over free—but the distinctions themselves remain part of God’s created order and covenantal structure. When someone collapses Jew/Gentile distinctions while preserving male/female distinctions, they are not doing exegesis; they are doing selective theology that unintentionally aligns with the very modern perversions they think they are resisting.
So the difference from jews to non-jews is equal to male to female difference?
Wow, this is a bit stretching.
Maybe we shouldn't analyze that far.

Nope. The text is saying there is NO difference between Jew or Gentile. male or female, free or bond. We are all one in Christ.
😄 🤣 agree 👍
When it comes salvation, only Jesus blood covenant matters.

but the other analogy is funny 😄 😆

I mean free can become slaves, and slaves can become free. But male and female can exchange 🙄 😄 🤣 😂

Still don't get it do you?

The text is saying; no matter who you are you can be saved.
It does not matter if you are male, female, free, bond, Jew, Gentile. We are all one in Christ.

Only a racist would like otherwise....

I meant male and female can't exchange.
Wonder who came up with that idea, sex exchange, ouch....

Paul says that as far as being "in Christ", which locates a particular believer in his teaching, future, and kingdom, there is no distinction between Jew or Gentile, male or female, slave or free. All are welcome.

But Paul does not dismiss these categories. He and the other apostles exhort the wives to obey their husbands and the husbands to love their wives. He argues that with respect to the history of salvation, the Jews had an advantage because they were given the oracles of God. He tells Timothy to be circumcised, and he makes an offering in the temple to secure a vow. He tells slaves to obey their masters but as if they were serving the Lord.

In other words, Paul did not eliminate or ignore human social categories.

Below agree. Key word "had" .

But still we need to read the entire Bible as a complete story. Not to elevate any created things above God. God centered, not any other centered.

with respect to the history of salvation, the Jews had an advantage because they were given the oracles of God.

Where is Timothy told to be circumcised?
Wasn't he Jewish?
All Jewish males were circumcised when they turned 8 days old...

Acts 16:3“Paul wanted Timothy to go with him; and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.”

Paul had Timothy circumcised, not for Salvation but for Mission Strategy.

The reaping of the earth in Rev 14 suggests we meet the Lord in the air.

Barn also suggests heaven above
1 Thessalonains 4:13-18 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

I believe this should answer your question. On the Day of the Lord (Rapture) another event also happens.

2 Thessalonians 2:5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

On the Day of the Lord, the Holy Ghost will be removed and all those with the Holy Ghost will be removed with Him and go directly to the Kingdom of God for all eternity!!!

Timothy father not jewish, he is kind of half, not growing up in Jewish culture.
Paul did that to Tim so that it will be easy for ministry, but not for any salvation reason.
Just if a missionary goes into Muslim country for gospel, he might stay away from pork or something.

Thank you very much for posting this. There is always something new to learn from the bible.

Didn't Paul have an argument with Peter about if circumcision was required? I think Peter was for it but Paul was against it. I don't remember the text. Was it before or after Acts 16:3?

Paul's argument with Peter was concerning exclusion. When the Men came from James, Peter decided to eat with them instead of with the church as a group. Peter set himself apart from the group as if to say that he was better than everyone else. I'm fairly certain that Peter didn't think of himself as better than others, but his actions were communicating that he did.

Paul characterized this as hypocritical. At that time, a hypocrite was an actor in a Greek play, so calling someone a hypocrite meant accusing them of acting or performing. Jesus referred to the Pharisees as hypocrites because they pretended to act like a righteous person without actually being a righteous person.

We see this today in our culture. Some people pretend to be a Christian instead of actually being a Christian. Perhaps a person wants to be liked; they might look around to see what Christians do and how they talk to ACT like a Christian instead of actually being one.

The men from James were telling the Galatians that they needed to keep Moses in order to be "complete." Believing in Jesus was a good start, but they needed to take it all the way, including circumcision. Paul argued that was another Gospel. The true Gospel is a gospel of grace, not performance. Circumcision marks the covenant people under the old Covenant but under the New Covenant, the Spirit marks us.

Is that too much info? I just got back from the gym, and my heart is racing. :)

Nope, not too much info. Thanks.

Romans 2

28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Again, not about ethnicity, not about golden calf.
It is about Jesus, His blood.
I worship Jesus, not ethnicity.
Ethnicity is beautiful, but ethnicity don't save a person.
I don't want to curse jews by telling them don't worry, continue rejecting Jesus, Your ethnicity will save you.

Ouch, what a huge curse that would me!!!!
