Here you are:

Romans 9:6-8
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these [are] not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

When I used the terminology of "true" Israel, it was derived from the meaning of these verses and others:

Romans 2:28-29
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision [is that] of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Okay, so you are basically saying "of the Abraham Isaac Jacob linage AND having the proper 'inward' disposition toward God" or something very similar - correct?

God sanctioning, or not, perpetration of what some or many may consider to be evil wasn't the thrust of my comments.
That is well and good - thank you for the clarification; however, it was the thrust of mine.

My main point was to drive home the fact that God is the creator of government with the instructions He has given in His word.
My main point was to drive home the fact that the 'instructions' of God in this matter have a 'common law'/'common sense' limitation.

If the government were to make a decree tomorrow that all 'citizens' are now "commanded" to follow Islam under sharia law - are you going to "fall in line" as a completely cooperative 'citizen' (who thinks God told them to do whatever the government says they should do) and follow it?

If God does not sanction it - should we sanction it? No - absolutely not. Have I made my point?

As recorded in the U.S. Constitution, our government was originally set up to be a servant of the people - not the other way around.

The government should be such that the "allegiance" of the citizenry is to God while the "allegiance" of the government is to the citizenry - i.e. citizens should serve God and government should serve citizens.

What God created was the idea that a people of like mind could/should create a government "of the people, by the people, for the people" - to/under which the people would agreeably be obligated to for the sake of having a stable society. While dictatorial governments have been used by God in His infinite wisdom for His own purposes - I really do not believe that it is what God had in mind when He gave His "instructions" for us to follow.

Yes - there is an extent to which we are to follow [whatever the 'law' happens to be at the time] for the glory of God - and, this is included in those "instructions" that He gave to us.

Nonetheless, beyond that - in the "big picture" of things - we have "other [overriding] instructions" in the Bible that we must [also] follow with priority intact.

God created 'government' in general - not each and every specific [man-made] government that has ever existed. And, there is a vast difference between the two - especially, where the biblical "instructions" of God are concerned.

When nations break trust with what the Lord desires, then He deals with them given that we as individuals cannot and are not called upon to try and force changes and corrections to wrongs done by governments.
What you say is true; however, individuals should use whatever lawful means is available to them to prevent the wrongs before they happen inasmuch as they are able to do so. This includes preventing wrongs that have already happened from happening again.

Is that the U Turn crowd that goes up to meet Jesus in the air and then immediately return to earth and skips the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven?
No - that is the crowd that goes up to meet Jesus in the air and then stays with Him in the air while the Wrath of God is poured out upon the earth - at some point in time after which, Jesus and the crowd come down to the earth - at which point in time, He begins setting up His millennial kingdom on the earth.

John 14:2-3 "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

Jesus is telling His disciples He must go to His Father's house of many mansions and prepare a place for them.
Then He will come back to get them so they can be with Him in His Father's house.

Jesus comes to take His people off the earth and He takes us all to heaven during the millennium.

Your statement above is just another U-turn and NEVER shows the saints in heaven.
You should also consider Jesus' reign (once it begins on earth) is eternal.
You have limited it to only 1,000 years.
No where does Rev 20 say the millennium is on earth And that's the only place in scripture where it is mentioned.
Rev 22 warns against ADDING to the words of these prophecies.

Okay, so you are basically saying "of the Abraham Isaac Jacob linage AND having the proper 'inward' disposition toward God" or something very similar - correct?

In a manner of speaking, yes. Paul identified Israel by way of two differing definitions, depending upon to what the relationship is being directed:

In relation to prophecy, Israel is the ENDURING bloodline Jews and the proselytes to Judaism as well as Messianic Jews.

In relation to the spiritual realm of existence, it is inclusive of all who are of faith in Christ Jesus...again, in a manner of speaking.

Replacement theology, in all its Satanic moorings, has ancient Israel entirely replaced by the Church today, which ignores who were the very first member of the Church, which was Jews only, including proselytes. I'm making issue of this for the sake of others who may have been leaning in that direction. It's not an accusation against you personally.

I uphold the still-existent distinction because Paul also made the distinction in his statements concerning the "natural branches" and the "wild" branches, both with grafting into the Vine, which is Christ Jesus.

That is well and good - thank you for the clarification; however, it was the thrust of mine.

Yes, although I don't see the connection.

The government should be such that the "allegiance" of the citizenry is to God while the "allegiance" of the government is to the citizenry - i.e. citizens should serve God and government should serve citizens.

Actually, no. The government is sanctioned by God to serve in the place of the citizens, with certain of the citizens being the arm of the government for executions and punishment of evil. Granted, there are many rabbit holes one can try to traverse as a convolution of the topic, but I will stay the course as best I can into this particular vein you seem to have traipsed.

What God created was the idea that a people of like mind could/should create a government "of the people, by the people, for the people" - to/under which the people would agreeably be obligated to for the sake of having a stable society. Romans 13:1-7
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

So, no. True government is not a creation of man. It is of God when it's rooted and grounded in His absolute morality. The founders of our government were of that mind. The creations of governments that punished and killed the innocent such as that of atheists, they were not of God and thus not worthy nor representative of God's ordination.

So, I'm arguing in favor of your statement above in your fourth paragraph. However, Dennis Raider, who openly and boldly executed an abortionist in Wichita, Kansas out in the foyer of his liberal churchianity building while ushering, it's questionable to say one way or the other as to if he was justified and in the will of God for what he did to take justice into his own hands by shooting that man down who was likely going to perform more killings the very next day.

The allegedly conservative judge over his case didn't allow his defense to present the perspective of defending the unborn, which was wrong for him to do. The liberals who were controlling his strings possibly threatened him behind the scenes, those who didn't want that defense being used because it may have gotten him a far lighter sentence if not set free entirely, thus setting a precedent for future executions.

Foxx's Book of Martyrs shows to us many, many examples of illegitimate governments and an illegitimate religion in particular that lacked legitimacy because of their lack of standing upon the defining principles and authority of God's word, which continues to this day all around the world when we look at the lack of purity in adhering to the very word of God as a defining foundation for their exercised authority in both government and doctrine.

You know, when I see these kinds of poisoning of the well questions, the distaste of it all drives people away from conversation with you because of the obvious snide tone you're intentionally exuding. Wouldn't it be better to to just converse with others rather than to talk down to them?

So you have no scripture to back you what you believe then? No need to get upset at me when you cannot show from scripture why you believe what you believe

1 Peter 3:15 - be ready always to give an answer to every man who asketh you a reason for the hope that is in you

Well let's see here - in Post #402, Gary A said those raised up to meet the Lord in the air will be just hanging around in the air with Jesus and I asked him for Chapter and verse for the "floating around in the sky" event?

Then in Post #406 you jumped in and posted this nonesense - "You know, when I see these kinds of poisoning of the well questions, the distaste of it all drives people away from conversation with you because of the obvious snide tone you're intentionally exuding. Wouldn't it be better to to just converse with others rather than to talk down to them?"

As though asking Gary A to show where scripture said what he was claiming was somehow wrong.

Then I replied by posting this:
1 Peter 3:15 - be ready always to give an answer to every man who asketh you a reason for the hope that is in you

Then you replied that I had a bad attitude for asking Gary A to show where scripture said what he was claiming

So there, this should get you all caught up.

It was you who assumed "floating around in the sky" nonsense. That's what I was addressing. Why make paint such a juvenile rendition of what someone else said? THAT is what I stated as being a matter of poisoning the well of discussion. It's impolite and disrespectful to make what someone else said into such a comedic image of nonsense that doesn't at all represent what they said.

Either words mean something or they don't.
If the guy did not mean that he would come back and clarify what he means which he has not.

You really should look at the whole picture being represented in this passage:

Revelation 14:

14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. 17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

Verses 14-16 are an illustration of the rapture at the Second Coming of Christ.

Verses 17-20 are an illustration of the "dishing out" of the Wrath of God upon the earth.

Thank you MM for your response to what did seem to be a bit 'snide'; however, ...

Let it go, guys - don't argue about it any more.

My main point was that there was no immediate [return] to the earth - because of something else that had to occur first - the Wrath of God.

As with many things, there is not a single verse somewhere that states all that I said in post #402 - it comes from the study of many/multiple passages of scripture. However, what you can do is look at the chart on this web page:

It is an ordered compilation (by column and row) of various passages that illustrate my conclusions based on previous study.

The information on this web page may also be useful:

Let it go, guys - don't argue about it any more.

I wasn't arguing. I was just inquiring since it sounded like you were claiming we'd all be hanging our in the sky kinda floating around rather than enjoying the marriage supper of the Lamb which takes place in Heaven wile the poo hits the fan down on earth.

Show me in scripture why you think the marriage supper of the Lamb takes place in [the 3rd] Heaven.

Show me in scripture why you think the marriage supper of the Lamb takes place in [the 3rd] Heaven.

The Westernized religion of Gentiles teaches them that THEY are the bride to be joined with Christ in Heaven as the body of Christ, always at the exclusion of what scripture says. They never do explain how the BODY of Christ can also be the BRIDE of Christ, considering that the bride came down from Heaven onto the new earth.

The emotional high Gentiles get by thinking they have replaced Israel, well, that maintains this element, among many, that's nothing more than just another gear in the replacement theology cult.

The Millennial Kingdom is on earth before Heaven comes down to meet it. Revelation 20:8 tells you it's on earth, Isaiah 65 shows you it's on earth, Zechariah 14:9 shows you it's on earth. Revelation 21 & 22 shows you that Heaven doesn't need a sun or a moon, doesn't have a sea nor a temple in it because God/Jesus is the light and the temple of it. All Bible verses outlining the Millennial Kingdom show you that the sun, moon, and a temple are still residing on the earth.
