Has anyone heard of Ravi Zacharias?

A church leader must be "beyond reproach." I guess the same is expected from an "apologist."
I like RZ, but am saddened by all the reproach coming against him.

Mister Zacharias isn't a doctor, because his two doctorates are honorary ones. Everyone in the academic field knows they don't count.
Plus, when RZ goes to commencements, he's not wearing the robe of the doctors. I think he has a master's degree in something.

False: Dr. Polkinghorne retired from physics in 1979 to become a priest. In 1990, the year RZ was on sabbatical, Dr. Polkinghorne taught two courses, “Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism” and "The Modern Dialogue of Science and Theology." He taught no physics class that year.

False. Such a department never existed. RZ fabricated the title to bolster his scholarly image.

False. The University informed me that it has no record of Ravi being on their payroll. Wycliffe Hall told me that Ravi has never held a formal teaching position there.

False. RZ’s B.A. and M.Div. degrees are from fairly obscure institutions. While on a 2-3 month sabatical at a place called Ridley Hall, RZ attended some classes and lectures at Cambridge University on a part-time basis. This is the sole basis for the claim that RZ is "Cambridge educated."

Misleading. RZ has no academic degree beyond a B.A. from the Ontario Bible College. (He also holds a non-academic professional M.Div degree.) RZ has not earned a doctorate degree.

Well With his four Honorary Doctorates from some very notable places of higher education and a masters is quiet the achievement. I stand by my original statement :

Dr. Zacharias is an outstanding teacher and apologist . As with anyone we need to test what they say in the light of Scriptures. That been said as you can see it would not matter what HE WOULD SAY BIBLICALLY some here think they are far more gifted with judgmental statements .

Also your list is not completely acurate

In the spiritual realm and the spiritual battle, academic qualifications mean very little. The only thing that counts is faithfulness to God, and Christ, and the written Word of God.

Christ and His apostles were deemed to be unlearned and uncouth by the academics of their day. But the power of God rested upon them.

The Apostle Paul warn TRUE belivers :

Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.


Now for a man that praise his good friend " Rick Warren " that pushes another gospel Christlam , how would anyone defend such a individual ? A man that clearly stated the King of Vatican City is our Pope ??? What type of fruit is being produce in these churches , a counterfeit of the real Gospel.

We can assume Ravi is lacking discerment , but this is not applicable to a individual that co-written / revised a book upon cluts name "The Kingdom of The Cults "

Interseting thing to note in that book , he did not include The Roman Catholic Church (Doctrine) and it's history of persecuting The Saints of God.

Ravi also has attendant many of these ecumenical movment , that are preaching a doctrine of counterfeit unity. Other that the one that the Apostle taught us to hold on too.

The end result is a confusing & contradicting embrace of hypocrisy in the name of unity.

A true disciple of Christ , tends to the souls that are being lead astray . With this truth being presented it is evident that these men that participate in such events for a unity crafted in deception , do not share the same attributes of The Apostle Paul or Disciples of Jesus Christ.

They themselves are preaching a diffrent Jesus to others.

He is also compromising at every opportunity to compromise. He simply refuses to take a clear stand on critical issues. And that is simply inconsistent with what the prophets and apostles did. Many were martyred because they would not compromise.

FYi many churches supported Rick warren before he became universal in his doctrine. did you have or ever participate or no a godly person did purpose driven life? But today do not hold to Rick Warren ?
