um... the boys are almost taller than me now... and I'm a tall gal,
but then again my brothers are over 6 foot, and I have some male cousins who are pushing 7 ft, so can't say I'm surprised there.
(my 13 year old can't wait to grow another foot! He is 5ft 7in and wants to be.... 6'7! (we didn't dare tell him his height in inches already IS 67 :rolleyes: )

Dang! So, what you're saying is you don't have to go on the kitchen counters to reach the top shelf of the cupboards?

Because, girl, I have a step stool for all the cupboards. Lol.

I do miss being active on here, but it brings up bittersweet emotions :/ And I don't do well with bittersweet emotions.

I remember hosting movie nights, and 20+ people would join, and I would host game nights. It was just overall fun. Not saying it isn't anymore, it's just different now. Life happens, and people move on. Life gets busy. But I miss the old days, and I will always be grateful for the time that I did have on here.

Last night I revisited the Banned Game thread...Shittim and Jennymae posted there.
Jennymae was a brilliant writer, and Shittim had a great sense of humour.

I am so sad they are now gone. I don't know what happened to Moses Young, but when I looked back on the thread and saw the post that speculated the posters had died, I was like noooo! I'm still here! When I was away, did people think I was dead too?

Even though they lived in lands far away, I felt I got to know them so well posting there, esp Jennymae. Shittim was a bit more cryptic/private , but he had a good heart.

Now I wonder where Ruby went. Please don't tell me she passed away too. She's not that old. Jennymae wasn't old either. I think she was in her late 40s? Though of course, a lady never reveals her age.

April fools day tomorrow as computer keeps reminding me. Am laying low. It might be a day I do not post on CC at all. Lest I be tricked again by the nefarious Singles Forum.

Thread 'In memory of Shittim...'

Brothers and Sisters,
I realized that @shittim has not been active here in a while, which is not like him.
I looked at some other sites that I know he's been on and they reflected the same (last seen: Nov 18, 2025)
I recalled that he once told me his name for finding and joining him on social media (which I couldn't as I didn't have at the time, and it appears he eventually removed it). But I was able to use that information for an online search.

I am saddened to share that through that search I learned that our brother Shittim has gone on to his Heavenly Home.

Didn't you announce it when you left? It was a while ago so I might be remembering it wrong, but I think I remember you telling people you were leaving.

No, I don't remember ever saying that.
I got busy caring for my mum, so just didn't post while I was doing that for about 2 years. I'm going back on my threads to see what date I stopped posting as after that would have been when Jennymae and Shittim had left us before I returned.
