Nah, I hate being set up even though I've never gone through with it! There was a time when my friends were trying to set me up with Mr. So and So or whoever but I kept turning them down. Eventually they all got girlfriends, so I guess I did them a favor!

What the crap? Do some parents even think when they insult their daughter/son about not being able to find a husband/wife? That kind of talk doesn't edify at all but leaves terrible wounds.

I have been through the "set-up" thing before. My mom means well and has mentioned some people on various occasions. It's always a little funny when my mom starts a sentence with "Not trying to be a matchmaker or anything,but..."
I was talking (Texting actually) with my pastor and I was telling him about my interest in a girl. At one point he said "If things don't work out with her, there are a couple girls that I think you should pray about." I couldn't help but chuckle a little.
