I hope I don't get banned myself for asking people this ^_^ but has anyone noticed users getting banned for expressing opinions? I remember a girl one time who was on this site who seemed to have been banned simply for stating non-Christian opinions.
Now, I can understand if someone's trolling. Yes, ban them. They're a waste of energy. But the thing is, DON'T ban unbelievers, unless they're trolling! If someone comes on here in support of abortion, but are not being disruptive about it, I don't think they should be banned. That would be contrary to the spirit of Christ.
One thing I've learned over the years, is the best way to witness to an unbeliever is to listen to them. If you listen to their ideas, they'll be more open to listening to your ideas, which is the Gospel. Banning someone from CC simply because they are trying to communicate unorthodox ideas is no different than kicking someone out of church because they haven't accepted Christ yet.
And to be honest... I have opinions myself that are unorthodox, but I'm scared to post them, thinking I'll be banned.
