What does having a good life mean to you?Does having a good life to you mean having a life of no worries,no stress, and no problems?Does it simply mean that your living a good life,a life that you love, working hard, loving the people that you have in your life, your family your friends,or just simply enjoying every day and living life one day at a time? For me having a good life means that you are living life one day at a time, enjoying every single moment.Think about what you think having a good life means to you, share your thoughts.

Walking in fellowship with God through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit........"having a good life."

God bless

Being moldable and pliable as you walk in spirit and truth. I like the picture of the palm tree that bends over when the fierce winds come... but is able to stand up again when the winds die down.........vs the old stiff oak tree that snaps in two from the storms of life.

A good life has nothing to do with our circumstances and everything to do with our relationships. With God, our families, friends, church members and the world in general.

Money does not buy happiness, and not even good health guarantees a happy or "good life." I was a miserable, depressed person for years when I was healthy, and I had to go through severe illness to realize that life is not about the externals, but about serving God and others.

Without Jesus Christ, nothing really makes sense. You can live each second and each moment to the best of your ability, but you will always fall short without the love of God leading and inspiring you!

You are having a good life when you are passionate about what you do.

So I saw that there is nothing better than that a man should rejoice in his work, for that is his lot. Who can bring him to see what will be after him? (Ecclesiastes 3:22)

Always remember that the "Preacher" was a disaffected and unhappy man searching for the real meaning in life, after wasting much of his life. Not everything he says is the "truth" but rather his exploring the truth, and truthfully recorded. (Was it Solomon? We will not know in this life time, although it seems like a good guess to me!)

I think this quote in your post, Jonah best represents some of the ponderings of the preacher, as opposed to an absolute command.

Perhaps the best words to remember are the closing ones of Ecclesiastes:

"13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil." Eccl. 12:13-14
