Head out toward Christ in order to be helpful to people

  • “Glory in His holy name, let the heart of those who seek Jehovah rejoice. Seek Jehovah and His strength; seek His face continually.” (1Chr 16.10-11).

We ought to seek out:

  • Jesus;
  • Strength of Jesus;
  • Face of Jesus;
  • To rejoice in Him.

Many times, we aren’t seeking out Jesus, but our picayune aspirations. One of our problems is that we go to Jesus with hackneyed thoughts, as if Jesus is mean.

Once the blessing of Jesus is a good measure, namely, pressed down, shaken together and running over (Luke 6.38) and that Jesus anoints our head with oil so that our cup runs over (Psalms 23.5), if we go to Him with not even an iota of disposition to help out people around us, certainly we won’t receive anything.

  • “Let no one seek his own, but each one another's.”. (1Cor 10.24).
  • “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves. Do not let each man look upon his own things, but *each man also on the things of others*.” (Phil 2.3,4).

Instead of joining in activities that leads us only toward the petty things that our soul carve for, let’s seek in Jesus what is good for everyone around us. After all, if everyone close to us is fine, we certainly receive only what is good, inasmuch as “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings out good things; and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings out evil things.” (Matthew 12.35).

So, enlarge your heart (2Cor 6.11) and have a nice day giving out unstintingly all the blessings that Jesus pours on you. Don’t cramp, for the provision of Jesus is inexhaustible:

  • “And in the last day of the great feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes on Me, as the Scripture has said, "Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." ” (John 7.37,38).

If you hinder, the source dries out (see 2Kings 4.6).
