If God is with us , we can endure anything , remember Job ? Loosing his livelyhood , then his precious children that he obviously adored , then his health , then his friends came to visit him and made him feel even worse . He must have been distraught .
There lots of things that I hope never happen to me but , Christians must not live in fear , Revelation Ch 21 V 3-8 , especially verse 8 . We r not of this world so , the things that idolators and atheists fear , we should not ! They have no hope , we know better . If our eyes and ears and hearts and minds r ever looking for Our Father and Our Redeemer and their love and mercy , nothing can touch us for very long . For sure we r human and have emotions that can b very powerful , but God is stronger than our emotions . Today , I have hoovered my flat for the first time since I had my lovely cat put to sleep . I've cried every minute while doing it . Yes , I know it's only an animal . But i felt as if I was getting rid of the last little bits of her up into the hoover . I'm heartbroken and will b for a while . But I have to thank God for the time I had with her and trust that He will get me through this sad time and out the other end again .
I have had worse things happen and no doubt I will have more unpleasant experiences to come before I kick my shoes off for the last time . But as long as I know that I have my God and my Saviour , I know that whatever this life throws at me , I shall cope with it . All I need is to know that He is with me . No , Christians should not fear the same things that non Christians do , we r not like them and we should not care about the kinds of things that they do . We belong elsewhere .
