I am a worship singer at our local church, however I am a smoker and sometimes drink too much, I desparately want to quit both for God and take care of the gift He has given to me, I feel like I'm letting him down, I don't think any1 at our church knows I smoke and so I find it hard to tell someone for prayer, really I think because I'm on the worship team and I'm very ashamed of it, please help if you have any ideas I would really be grateful, Thank you God Bless XXX
 
The bible says in Romans 8: 1- 2 "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death."
the bible also says who the Son sets free is free indeed. Know that as we stand together in prayer you have already been set free, you just need to claim it. God bless
 
Thank you Shemaiah, that means so much, I have to affirm these scriptures back into my heart, I've just felt far from God lately, I know He is closer than I think and he would never forsake us, I just haven't encountered him for too long now. Thank you and God Bless you ten fold X
 
just a few throughts if you want that extra support and accountability, www.settingcaptivesfree.com is really great it was set up escpecially for people with addictions to give accountability from people who you do not know in real life if it is something you struggle to share...

THere is also teenchallenge which a christian organisation what supports people with alcohol and drug addictions via rehab ministering to them so they can be set free by the power of jesus and stay clean...

God is bigger than your giiant , he wants to see you set free and whole so you are not feeling those feelings of guilt and shame that your not good enough , you are more than a conquerer he has put his spirit in you of power love and self control....

you can do this, day by day moving forward, little by little taking groud , every pray a powerful weapon , seeing each stronghold come tumbling down.... lots of love , dont give up xxx
 
Recieve your healing from Christ. The devil seeks to redicle your God given gifts. Refuse to destroy your personality. Come out of them says the Lord and be free from every form of addictions. Be fill with the Spirit of God. That is the cure.speaking to yourself and Singing melody in your heart to the lord for your healing and freedom and walking in the freedom of God's people wherewhich he made available for you. Be healed now in and out in the name of the lord Jesus. Amen.
 
on the addiction side of things electronic cigarettes seem to be helping me quit.
