ON three occasions the scriptures shows that God’s voice was actually heard by others.
1. Jesus Baptism
(Mark 1:11) And a voice came out of the heavens: “You are my Son, the beloved; I have approved you.”
2. Jesus transfiguration
(Mark 9:7) And a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud: “This is my Son, the beloved. Listen to him.”
3.Shortly before Jesus Last Passover
(John 12:28, 29) Father, glorify your name.” Then a voice came out of heaven: “I have glorified it and will glorify it again.” 29 The crowd that was standing there heard it and began to say that it had thundered. Others said: “An angel has spoken to him.”

There were more in the OT - and God still keeps speaking. One night when my daughter was "wasted" on drugs laying outside on a hill with friends, she heard an audible voice from heaven saying her name and "What are you doing?"

In a split second she was completely sober, and saw her friends with a whole different perspective and then she ran home. Never touched drugs again.

And now in the Body of Christians, He speaks through those with the gift of prophecy.
