Forgiveness of Our Sins
[h=1]Matthew 18 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)[/h][h=3]The Parable of the Unforgiving Slave[/h]21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how many times could my brother sin against me and I forgive him? As many as seven times?”
22 “I tell you, not as many as seven,” Jesus said to him, “but 70 times seven.[r]23 For this reason, the kingdom of heaven can be compared to a king who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves.
Why did JESUS(YESHUA) tell Peter that about forgiveness of ones brother? Are we not brothers and sisters in CHRIST, so does that statement includes us that JESUS(YESHUA) will forgive us of our SINS?
[h=1]Matthew 9 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)[/h][h=3]The Son of Man Forgives and Heals[/h]9 So He got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own town. 2 Just thensome men[a] brought to Him a paralytic lying on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic, “Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven.”
3 At this, some of the scribes said among themselves, “He’s blaspheming!
Pay attention to verse 3 of what the scribes are saying about JESUS(YESHUA). Does that sound like some Christians today who are sounding like the scribes in the verse above.
The Response JESUS(YESHUA) gives to the scribes below:
4 But perceiving their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why are you thinking evil things in your hearts?[b] 5 For which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 6 But so you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—then He told the paralytic, “Get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”
What does JESUS(YESHUA) say about self righteous religious Christians:
[h=1]Matthew 23 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)[/h][h=3]Religious Hypocrites Denounced[/h]23 Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples: 2 “The scribes and the Pharisees are seated in the chair of Moses.[a] 3 Therefore do whatever they tell you, and observe it. But don’t do what they do,[b] because they don’t practice what they teach. 4 They tie up heavy loads that are hard to carry[c] and put them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves aren’t willing to lift a finger[d]to move them.
13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You lock up the kingdom of heaven from people. For you don’t go in, and you don’t allow those entering to go in.
All self righteous Christians should read all of chapter 23 that includes me.
What was the Greatest SIN that the World done to JESUS(YESHUA) and did JESUS(YESHUA) forgive the SIN?
[h=1]Luke 23 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)[/h]33 Whenthey arrived at the place called The Skull, they crucified Him there, along with the criminals, one on the right and one on the left. [34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing.”][i] And they divided His clothes and cast lots.
12 But when He heard this, He said, “Those who are well don’t need a doctor, but the sick do. 13 Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice.[f] For I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.”[g]
