Why was it necessary for the Holy Spirit to have the epistle to the Hebrews placed within the Bible?

Because all Christians – particularly Hebrew Christians – needed to clearly understand that what the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished in His birth, His life, His death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and exaltation, was a RADICAL DEPARTURE from the Law of Moses and its requirements.

But there are still many -- who say they are Christians -- but really do not understand what Christ accomplished.

Paul’s epistle to the Hebrews teaches us that Christ is INFINITELY BETTER in many ways:

1. Infinitely better that the angels (chapter 1)

2. Infinitely better than the devil (chapter 2)

3. Infinitely better than Moses (chapter 3)

4. Infinitely better than Joshua (chapter 4)

5. Infinitely better than any high priest (chapters 5-7)

6. Infinitely better than the Old Covenant (chapter 8)

7. Infinitely better than all animal sacrifices (chapters 9-10)

Once we understand that God became Man in order to take away the sins of the world, we will never turn back to the Old Covenant. Hundreds of thousands of animals were sacrificed for about 1,500 years for the sins of Israel. But they could never take away sin. They could only cover sins for a season.

But when Christ – the Lamb of God – willingly and voluntarily went to the cross to die for our sins, and shed His blood for our redemption, that was more than sufficient in the sight of God the Father. And He died for the sins of THE WHOLE WORLD.

HEBREWS 9

11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15 And for this cause He is the mediator of the New Testament [Covenant], that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the First Testament [Covenant], they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Jesus Christ IS the Word. The entire OT is preparation for the salvation af all nations who call upon Him, rendering them heirs with the Israel of God.
