hi, all I have been on this earth for a pretty long time. I met Jesus 1 night when I was hiding from getting a beating behind my couch. After that night i always knew him, we took a bus once and a while to church and I was blessed to be baptized. I have known Jesus for as long as I could remember , but being from a split family divorced and 1/2 Christian 1/2 Jewish, I was not taught the scripture. I fought through life the survival of the fittest as they say, and fought to bring my 7 younger siblings out of abuse. On the scale of 1-10 of abuses I have had them done to me and witnessed them being done to my siblings. I told the authorities, I begged for help and it led to more abuse. I finally left home one night after being beaten bloody by my step-father and my mother slapping me in the face. I was sure they would kill me that night I ran on my bike 30 miles to my fathers house. I lived there a short time doing all the babysitting and getting A's in school still my father neglected me and my other siblings left at my mothers house. I came home from school at the start of summer and was told to find a place to live. I left, got a job 1/2 days and went to high school rented an efficiency and moved in with my boyfriend I was 16. I kept fighting for my sisters and the other 2 children who were only babies to stop their father. 2 years passed my father and mother abandoned me at 18 I married and started college, at 19 hrs finally took 2 sisters from the abusive home, 1 was my fathers daughter and she went to his house. The other was my 1st stepfathers and he did not want her so at 19yo I took her in. God gave me the strenght and courage to keep going. 2 years after my marriage I gave birth to a beautiful son, I took 1 year off from school, and at 22 yo got my degree as a Registered Nurse. Although my trials did not stop, there have been times of peace that surpasses even my own understanding. Many times I prayed for Jesus to bring us all home for I have witnessed much evil, and endured the pain of my own abuse and that of my loved ones, while the wicked seem to prosper. It has been years and I still fight many of the same battles for others who have been abused. Sometimes I am sad and loose my faith and then I remember all he has brought us through and those who have come to me in adulthood and thanked me for fighting when they could not. I love Christ he loves me and has never left me even when I stood on ground where angels fear to tread he has been with me, and although the pain of yesterday is sometimes tears on my cheeks I know he is sitting with me holding me, like the night behind the couch. I use to believe I was bad and was being punished, but over time the Lords word began to come into my life, and when I was 17 yo I heard the verse that says all that we suffer is for the glory of Christ, and so instead of shame I was given Glory, so always remember and never forget God is good all the time. Standing on the Rock of Christ forevermore your servant melissa, amen amen amen.
