I have always understood that hell is temporary and that ultimately they are thrown in the lake of fire, which is called 'the second death'. Here's a website that goes into detail a bit: The Biblical Truth About Hell, Does it Last Forever?

"hell" means the grave.
The lake of fire is what most people are thinking of when they think of "hell"
Those cast into the lake of fire a burnt up and will be dead forever, will never exist again.
Malakyah 4:1-4,"For, behold, the day comes that will burn like an oven; and all the proud, yes, and ball who do wickedly, will be stubble--the day that comes will burn them up, says Yahweh of hosts; and it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who reverence My Name, the light of righteousness will arise with healing in its wings; and you will go out, leaping like calves released from the stall. Yes it's forever, or else it would be considered purgatory (being punished for your sins and then saved). Purgatory is made up. Jesus spoke about it being forever.

There is not a single verse in the bible to suggest people can get a free "get out of hell" pass. I believe it is a misunderstanding of Greek term aión which literally means age or cycle of time. It is where we get the English eon from. The Greek language has some idioms that deal with large scale things. They used a idiom of "tens of thousands" to refer to a vast number and aion is simalar as it's literal definition is different from it's figurative use. In the bible aion is translated as:

Hell is the temparary torture place for sinners till judgement.Satan and his armies are not tortured there.They torture the souls of sinners there.That is apart form the fallen angels(some of them) and other mysteries of the created world.
After judgement everything that rebelled against God is going to lake of fire.Sad to say,its eternal.That is the reason why FAITH has got much importance wan why people suffered for Christ and still suffering.Hebrew ch.11.

Actually, "Sheol" can be translated as grave but it is also the abode of the dead. Some people with a theological error want to make sheol only mean the grave. The following verses show how sheol can not simply mean grave.
Heb. sheol, Strong's #7585: the world of the departed. 31 times.
Deuteronomy 32:22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest [hell], and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

Heaven as in? God is moving to earth after the Millenium...
