Hello, my name is Jonathon Beauregard. I am 18, and am on my senior year homeschooled with the Abeka book program. I have been homeschooled since 7th grade when I got out and started it over. I work with my father in his ice business; have been working full-time since I was 14, which is when I was pulled from public school. I only regret that I was not pulled sooner. I love studying Bible doctrines, I have been doing extra researching with Abeka book; and if you know what the program I am talking about is, you know how in-depth it is. Let me put it this was, if you fail bible class, you fail the year, period. Currently I am studying life management, I have learned more from this class then I have ever learned in any church.

Anyway the reason I am here is because I have grown lonely. I have been to most of the youth groups I know of around here; it’s always the same mediocre group, or the wrong type of crowd. I live in Gloster, Louisiana. This is about 10 miles south of Shreveport. I’m looking for people to talk to. Other than my work and looking around at other groups, I’ve had NO ONE out side of my family that I can have an intelligent conversation with (have you been to a mall lately? It’s rather sad.) This, quite frankly, kind of makes me want to scream.

If you know exactly what I mean, I would love to hear back from you.

Was browsing around CC and ran across your newbie post. :) I started laughing when I read the little bit about the mall. lol Yes, it's very sad. :D Finally! Another teen who recognizes this! I usually last about an hour before I just can't take it anymore. I just hide myself away in the bookstore these days. With girls, the "mall vocab" sounds something like this: "Like...are you serious? Like...Like Oh my GOSH! @#*#%#*$!!!!!" :eek:
Welcome to CC. I'm pretty new too. Homeschooling is the best. I'm 18, working on finishing HS. I've been homeschooled my whole life.
Yeah, I've had the same problem with "youth group". I haven't had any luck making true christian friends in my area. I get my fellowship via my wonderful penpals. :)
I do know exactly what you mean. lol So, just thought I'd say "hey." If ya ever wanna talk, let me know. :cool:

Hi, welcome to CC Don't know what Homeschooling is like I've been out for six in a half years but Um.. I do know that malls can be chaos during and after the holidays so yeah.
