I would seek God if I were you til you were 18. If you don't plan to date for 2 more years, it might be emotionally hard to keep that sort of conviction if you were developing a "friendship" with a guy.

I agree with Crypto...Things move too fast nowadays (at the real risk of sounding older-than-dirt). Pen pals are fine, but to go into it with the mindset of relationships might not be the best option.

However, I do think that it is incredible, intelligent, and just plain awesome that you are waiting to find the right guy. Don't give in to what your friends are doing. Stay strong and be an individual. When you do find the guy that God has for you, it will make the struggle all worthwhile.

Are you in a church? A lot of times, being in a church with a good youth program can help support you...

I'm not in a church.
Just a very strong minded youth
even my mum thinks it weird im waiting.
But by dating people its like your moving from one person to another and i see what its doing to todays youth. i know too many people with children before there even married.
I believe in the Uk people are way to easy forced by friends and peer pressure to have sex date people they dont think are sensible. One of my only friends who is a christian attends a youth group but the times i have attended it just feels as if there there to get of the streets.

You seem pretty mature for your age. I hope you find someone and that it works out for both of u.

Hi, you're only 16 too young to be in a hurry for a relationship, maybe you could just concentrate first in your studies. Look im 32 and n0t worried for I know God will give me the right persön in His own time.

That's much the way it is here in the US...You've got to keep your smarts about you...You are intelligent and observant, that's easy to see. Keep a close relationship with God, He's the most important one. A true Godly man will help you to get closer to God, not try and pull you away from God.

Keep being 'strong minded'. Don't give in to peer pressure...it's just not worth it.
