i have the worse luck when it comes to dating, i have tried just about anything out there besides these dating sites. do they really work or just a scam. i looked at urshotatlove.com and match.com the other day and was wondering do they work. let me know your thoughts PLEASE. im so lost and need the help
 
It's hard to take you seriously when your nic name is jeremypimp.
 
Dating sites are good in order to initially meet someone, it allows for people of similar interest a chance to get in contact and to set up a date. Past that i would not put much effort into one mainly due to the fact that you can appear to be anybody online and you want to meet someone in person before even getting remotely attatched to them.

I figured with a name as creative as jeremy pimp he would be gettin all the ladies... it must have taken you forever to come up with that one...

Hey, I'm sorry if I offended you... I won't try to explain my sense of humor and make it worse.

But I will say dating sites are a great way to meet people. Especially if you watch for red flags and do not take it too seriously. Most people go out with a couple different people before they meet someone they really like. Not to mention there are all kinds of people: sometimes they are completely jacked, sometimes they are really cool.

It's easy to chat with someone and form a picture of what you "think" the person is like without really knowing the person. So I personally try to meet people face to face as soon as possible. If you meet them in person then you can find out who they are: which can be surprising....aka they are actually 3 feet shorter than what they posted, he/she is the kind of person who makes racist comments on a regular basis or (on a super lucky side) someone is actually cuter and funnier than their profile.

Also if you aren't sure what to put in your profile, you might want to have a friend give you some ideas. It's actually kind of fun if you have a friend who is trying it too, then you can share crazy stories. But don't let the crazies discourage you from meeting people. There are good people out there. :)
