Her eyes hold a story
Her lips are full, a timeless beauty
Her hair cascades, a dark shimmer
Her words are arrows in a quiver

I stare, as she gets ready
To mesmerize, her hands are steady
I want to hold a magnifying glass
To her face, she's dignity and class

The fall of her sari is a red ruby
Her perfume is gentle, not heady
She is the one I turn to for comfort
How to sooth me, she's an expert

Everything she does is beautiful
I am on her mind, she's that dutiful
First to wake up, she worries for my future
Every morning and night, I am her prayer

I help her as she gets dressed
Is this too much, she's stressed
I laugh as she pouts at the mirror
Stunning woman, her love is a river

She's walked the path of fire
And she's seen scenes so dire
Her eyes hold a story
That never betray her beauty

Dedicated to my stunningly beautiful mother who mesmerizes me, not only with her beauty but with her love.

Nice, I see that in my wife towards our children. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to have a mother there for me unconditionally, but at the same time that would change what I am now so I don't wonder too hard. It is nice to at least read about that bond between mother and child sometimes. I actually have a little 2nd cousin who lost his mother (my closest cousin growing up) last year right after his 3rd birthday and I take him every weekend because I know what he's going to have to go through growing up with no mother, only he wont get to meet his when he turns 16 like I did. May God pour His love on you and your mother, thanks for sharing.

I am sorry to hear about that Jimmy.

Each of us have different situations in our life and God puts us in them for a reason. I am very glad that you have showed love and sensitivity to your cousin.

To show that much kindness and sympathy is beautiful and God bless you for that.

Sometimes it's been hard for my mother and me as well. We've struggled through many things.

I am starting to realize though, how grateful we should be to God for all the blessings he has given us. Our loved ones and our families are among the biggest.

Thank you Jimmy for sharing.

God bless you

Rachel, i can barely type for the tears...
