Just got done listening to all of Matthew, ESV on audio. What is the point of reading the Bible or listening to the Bible anymore, if God no longer speaks to you through those specific outlets? I have been listening to the three daily prayer podcasts on (https://www.pray.com) since October 2023, and I sense God speaks more to me personally, through those prayer podcasts, than He does through reading the Bible or listening to the Bible on audiobook. Does any one else have a similar situation in their life? or did I rewire my brain in a way, where I can no longer follow Jesus the same as other brothers and sisters in Christ?

I am open to hear what you guys think about this and if you can pray that God will guide me through this situation.

maybe try and slow it down. Take a simple verse and just meditate on it over and over until it sinks into your soul.
read it through various translations including the Greek.
I use chat GPT to help with the exegesis.

The Lord is my Shepard, I lack nothing.
The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want.

Thank for always chiming into the prayer thread @jacko . You are a well done faithful servant of Christ.

I think I might have to started reading it aloud to myself, to get it engrained.

I don't think it is at all true that God does not speak to us anymore.

He indwells us.
We're to believe he's a mute Spirit?
