[This is the 2nd blog in a series on persecuted Iraqi Christians.]

The Jewish holocaust took place in the early 1940's. Chances are, that was before your time. You may have heard stories about heroes risking their own safety by hiding their Jewish friends in their houses or seen Schindler's List. Have you ever wondered what you would do if you lived in the midst of that tragedy?

I have. And those thoughts motivated me to try to be as much of a hero as I can for those suffering today. That includes taking small steps to offer relief to the persecuted Christians in Iraq. According to The Christian Post, one of the best ways to help them is to write to your representative. I encourage you to also be a hero and email your representative today. FEEL FREE TO COPY/PASTE MY LETTER:

Representative, I am writing with regard to the Islamic State's (ISIS) persecution of Iraqi Christians—specifically displacement, rape, and crimes against children. The U.S. needs to: 1) make special criteria for the quick immigration of Iraqi Christians seeking asylum, 2) provide relief to Iraqi Christians suffering unimaginable horrors in the form of aid through the UN, and 3) take an aggressive stance against ISIS before they grow larger and more threatening toward other nations, including the U.S. We appreciate your representation. Sincerely, American Voter

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

Thanks and God bless!
