Yes, I'm quoting myself, to shame myself for using the wrong version of "to". I just got too excited. There.

It happens. Kind of like tsunamis..

I was just getting on here to make a Pringles reference but you beat me too it! Well done. :D

I guess I could say something about shingles, or Bengals (not the same spelling, but it has the same sound). Let's try it:

I'm single and ready to mingle like a Bengal with shingles eating Pringles! :o

A Bengal with shingles........... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwww!

If 'mingle' meant what it normally means, 'to converse with others and have fun', that would be fine, but in this context it's a bit different. CC isn't a dating website. Get to know people and if something happens as a result, great. But don't come here with the sole purpose of looking for a mate.

I think it is a shame that people are told that they should seek a mate in a Christian atmosphere or gathering but then are chastised when they do so. :-(

Hello! :)

I'm Daniel. I believe in GOD and I do everything for him. I know my scriptures and I know what to do to be saved! but I'm quite lonely and I wouldn't mind meeting some single ladies. I'm not sleazy or anything! just a charming sweet young man with an awesome personality! and we can talk about god or anything! :) so please message me!

I thought your message was honest and direct, Daniel. Don't be discouraged. Remember...

Matthew 7
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Proverbs 18
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.

How can you find something if you are not actively looking for it? God honors diligence (hard work). Don't let anyone tell you that you should just sit and wait for God to do for you what He has already made you able to do. His grace is enough for you. You will find a woman that is honored that you were looking for her so diligently. :-)

Because there's a difference between trying to meet a Christian woman and talking to her respectfully versus putting out the bar signal for all the ladies to come flock to you because you're so awesome and you're going to rock their world.

Also, this site is not a dating site, and treating it as one is discouraged by the owner. They have dating sites for that.

Hence my post. It's important how it's done and when. You don't come to CC for the sole purpose of finding a mate. Just like life offline, you should get to know people first and then if something happens, great.

Well, I didn't realize that is what he was doing. I'm still not sure that is what he was doing and am not going to be so critical of him. I don't think that he has said enough to come to that kind of conclusion and place that kind of judgment on him.

However if it is the case that the site discourages Christian singles "mingling", I have to say that I can see how he may have been somewhat misled then by there being a Christian singles forum. Maybe the owners should consider removing it then.

I guess everyone's standards on how people should meet is different. I perceived that Daniel was trying to get to know people as you put it.

I know a couple that was praying and seeking God diligently and both of them were online seeking. They found each other and are now married and give God all of the glory for it. I can't see how they did any wrong in how they met. Yet they will be the first to tell you that they were met with all sorts of resistance. Not just people online, but family and friends. They have now been happily married for 10 years and are both faithful God-serving people.

One might ask, "Why don't you just find someone locally? Why would you want to find someone online?"

Abraham sent his servant out to another country for the sole purpose of finding a mate for his son. He was not able to find one for him in all of his own land. I think the internet can be a great platform for scouting out other lands for many purposes other than just this one.

Just because the majority of people happen across one another in their own local setting does not mean that it happens for everyone that way. However, for many it seems as thought "different" is the same as "wrong". Remember that we are to judge righteously; not according to appearance (good and evil).

Daniel hasn't said enough to reveal whether his intentions are righteous by faith; or not. In either case, we should not be so quick to gather up stones.

Hi Mojopin,
Single ready to mingle eh? . I understand the macho pride coming outta you. However, Mingle with many, choose just one. I mean for a wife of course. If you ain't ready for that then its 'mingle with many choose none.' Just make friends. If you ain't looking for your girlfriend to be your future wife, then pretty please for the sake of your girl and you... Dn't swim in dangerous waters nor u may sink.. Nah, not being pessimistic, its a fact! And this ain't a dating site, but who knows? If you get to know a person sooooo deeeeeep she may begin to looove you.
Note to TINTIN : You got a great sense of humor bro.But ....sigh... I guess only Snowy can get along with you. If you know what I mean (wink).
Regards,
Ruby...
