Hey, so I'm new to here, and a new Christian. My family and I were baptized this past Sunday (January 24th) in Jesus' name!!! :D I'm so thankful for god being in mine and my families life!

I'm from a little Island in Canada, called PEI, and I am currently in my first year of Culinary Training at the Culinary Institute of Canada. Loving it!

Like I said I'm new to this Christian lifestyle, so if I say or do anything offensive it's not intentional, I'm still learning.

I found God through the help of my aunt and uncle, and seen the work god was doing in their life, and I wanted that too, so we did a lot of talking, and I did a lot of thinking, (Christmas 2008) but over the summer of 2009 I got distant from the beliefs, and it was after the death of a very close family member that I prayed for to god to help lead me on the path that he wants me to live by, and things have just worked out since then and I don't regret it at all. I love my church and pastor(s) and can't wait to see what god has for store for me and my family in the future.

Welcome! :) So wonderful to hear that you and your family have given your lives to Jesus! :) Prince Edward Island is on my "list" of places I most want to visit in the world. You are blessed to have grown up there. :D I've never visited, but gosh it looks beautiful from all the pictures I've seen! Coolcool! Hope you enjoy CC. Haha, PEI is alright to grow up in, its very closed off to diversity though, and very very boring especially in the winter, there is not much for youth to do, and theres a lot of drinking and drugs here especially in youth I find.
 
Well, thank you for bursting my bubble! :p Drinking and Drugs are two big issues with the youth around here as well. It's not an Island, but it's a small town. I think you get that more when there isn't much to do, like small in towns, little Islands, etc. Not good. But still, PET would be a nice place to vacation. :) Especially for someone like me, who just likes to laze around and read. :D I wouldn't know about the Winters. I've only seen snow half a dozen times in my life. :eek:
 
Haha, well we got a few feet of snow in the last 2 days here, and PEI is very beautiful in the summer I must say.
 
Thank you. Now I feel better. :D I'll make a note to only visit in the summer. :p A FEW FEET???!! Sheesh. Wow. The most we had this year was a little ice on the care after it rained.... sheesh. :)

Thanks! It's definately a big change, but a change for the good! We haven't yet to be blessed with the gift of the Holy Ghost, but I know it will happen soon!
