So glad you've explained that me darling, it's a hugely serious issue, others will now know you desperately need help too.

Think these are the end times and many things now are hard to deal with. Before 2020, such an issue would have received Govt help without question but sadly, many NGO's have been so stripped of essential funding, they no longer exist.

I'll research some to see what help might be available, God's blessings with love and hugs from me to you and your children for now.

Thank you. I've been out of the house since June but obviously now have run out of money. I didn't expect it to go on for this long and really thought that I would of received help by now. I also thought that if I paid for the tests that it would force the landord to do the repairs and make the house safe to prevent legal action but that hasn't been the case and the tests cost money that could of kept us in the hotel a little longer so regretting that decision now.

Hi,
I have cracked, peeling paint on the walls have done since I moved in, asked landlord why it keeps happening and was told not to worry so just keep painting over it and it happens again. I saw something online so did a DIY lead test which showed positive. That triggered a lead survey on the house which confirmed there is lead paint in every room in the house. But its damaged so thats why it is dangerous because of the airborne dust. So I've paid for dust sampling from a lead specialist and 31 samples were taken through the house in different rooms they are all positive proving that the household dust is contaminated with lead at high numbers too. We have had to had blood tests to determine how much lead we have in our blood at the moment but havent got the results yet. In the mean time the doctors say the children cannot go back in the house until the source of lead contamination is rectified and the house is decontaminated both of which my landlord is refusing to do and the amount of money it would take for me to hire someone to do the work isnt feesable its thousands. I've contacted my MP and councillor who have reached out to the landlord for an explaination and they are refusing to reply. Ive been told to seek legal advise but all they can do is take them to court for money which takes years which doesnt help my situation right now. Theres literally nobody who can help me I've contacted every service I can think of.
My edit was too late so another reply sweetheart:

PS Health and Happiness gave some great advice suggesting you ask your local church/school for help. They will certainly care about the welfare of you and your children, should be able to offer practical assistance too. It would be great if your home could be made safer to live in pretty quickly.

God's blessings and hugs from me again 🤗

Sadly, the needs of ordinary people are no longer a priority and you are dealing with a very serious hazard, to your children in particular. A friend of mine from the P3 charity is visiting later, she'll be great for at least some advice about where it might be worth looking for help.

Blessings and hugs to you all sweetheart 🤗

Hope you're feeling a bit more hopeful sweetheart, there might not be an immediate solution but a couple of things could be promising. The advice from Health and Happiness is sound, are your local Christian community aware of your difficulties and potentially supportive? Also, my friend works on the physical and mental health side of P3, however, they also offer housing support. She's going to check out what that support involves, it'll definitely include them getting on to UC and the local council.

Sadly, it will take time for sure, they're a big charity but they've been snowed under with cases for a couple of years now. Hoping her putting in the request might speed things up a little, any extra info you think of will be useful to pass on to her.

God's blessings and hugs from me to you and your children sweetheart. 🤗

Philippians 4:6-7
New International Version
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 8:5-13
New International Version
When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6 “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.”
7 Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?”
8 The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. 11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.

James 1:2-3
New International Version
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

Psalm 30:5
New International Version
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.

James 1:12
New International Version
12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
