So I was just wondering if a girl can be an evangelist... I haven't exactly heard anything against it, I just wanted to know.

Hey,So I was just wondering if a girl can be an evangelist... I haven't exactly heard anything against it, I just wanted to know.
We are all evangelists and ministers of His word in our lives of lifestyle evangelism....how God uses us and develop’s us as he grows us and uses us to shine through out to the world around us? Well, that is all part of the mystery and opportunities given us daily to give or raise praises up to him as we see his working through us to share the light with other’s. So do you see what it is I am saying to you? A place at a podium in front of millions may not be the place God uses us but always, always, always we are evangels for everyone within our sphere of influenceSo I was just wondering if a girl can be an evangelist... Hi and welcome to CC! To your question, there are many effective women evangelists who have great ministries. If that is where your heart is, go for it! God bless you and hope to see you at the forums!
Mary was the first evangelist. She told the apostles Jesus was alive. Not only you may share Jesus with others but we are commanded to. Jesus will hold us accountable for knowing yet not saving a life. When the Spirit leads you to share with someone you will know if you don't already. I feel sad that girls are so beaten down to even ask this question. Welcome dear.
Hey,
so I have asked myself the same and I suppose it just depends on what your definition is. You sure can share the gospel with everyone-we´re all told to not hide our lights and also, women were the first ones to talk about Jesus´re
A woman can share the Word Of God with others..
But not have authority over men..

I mean to pursue it professionally.

John
4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and [then] cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
4:36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
It is not a profession. It is a calling, and you are called. A calling is far greater and higher than any profession! PTL!.

I mean
See that's where I get confused. Can I as a girl professionally pursue a career as an evangelist. Considering that evangelism as a whole is the sharing of the good news of Christ.Or would it be considered "authority over men" I don't think it would, but I might be wrong.I feel a call on my life to be an evangelist, but I'm trying to make sure it's of God, and not of me.
....yah, it is women’s ministries and kids to be black and white about what the bible says.Sharing the message of Christ does not mean you automatically have authority over the people you are sharing it with.. A street evangelist does not suddenly become the boss over the people walking past them.. They are simply sharing the message of God..
But a woman should not go into a gathering of believers and attempt to be the authority in the gathering.. A supporting role yeah but not the leader..
I believe the scriptures are stating that woman in the faith should not have authority over men in the faith..
