One becomes a Christian by believing the gospel and then repents and obeys the word of God unto salvation.
Repentance > water baptism for the forgiveness of sins > Holy Spirit baptism > praying in tongues.
Acts 2:38 is the commandment as to how a person becomes a Christian disciple.

For most people, there is a path that gets them to this point. It doesn't just all of a sudden happen.

I agree...the Holy Spirit does not "woo" anybody.....HE convicts and convinces........this is not an 8th grade Icebreaker dance....
