It's a very real serious illness.
People who have it generally keep to themselves.
I suffered from it for years as I had no family for the holidays.
I was hardened inside.
Now I suffer because I feel for others who are going through it.
Look to Jesus.
Give praise and worship to God and look for his glory and holiness.
He will show you and you will get through the hard times.
And don't be afraid to reach out to others for support.

"Lord Jesus, I praise you for the life you give me.
I give you glory in worship and look for your presence now in my life.
I will praise you and glorify you now in my presence when alone and with others.
Show me your life that includes me.
Thank you Jesus.
Amen"

Being alone at Christmas is really difficult for a lot of people. For 16 years I was one of these people.
Thank you, Rollo, for starting this important thread!

Freedom from sin=True gospel=After God gave me the Holy Spirit, I found proof that TV, movies, novels, music, video games and computer games are all sins, except Christian stuff that don’t have sins like sermons and Christian music words that gives messages. I found out that in them there is lying, stealing, adultery (Matthew 5:28 looking at someone with lust is adultery), fornication which is sex before marriage, revenge, murder, jealousy, pride=self-pity, hypocrisy, using God’s name in vain as a curse word, they are all idols (breaks 2nd Commandment) because most people can’t live without them and they love them more than God and more. Just read the 10 commandments for a list.

link to the true gospel.

In my life, I didn't realize that Thanksgiving was the best of Christian holidays.
You give a very personal thanks to God for life and all that he gives us, and he gave me a church family to share the love of Jesus with.
Then he gave me a wife that loved Jesus as I did.
God never stops giving to his children, we should never stop giving thanks to him.

I too, believe Thanksgiving is the best Christian Holiday. Sadly, too often I forget the part about being thankful to God for all He gives, a special day is necessary for me. I enjoy the family time, the sights and especially the smells of turkey, trimmings and fresh baked bread. Better, it is one of only a couple of days every year the family gathers at home to join hands and pray. There is less commercialism and insanity involved.

They are trying desperately to take this thankfulness away and replace it with shame. May that never happen!

God bless everyone here. Ask God to remove all negativity from your heart, I guarantee you will feel better. Be thankful for life, health, and strength. That's the biggest blessing to me to be thankful for. Dwell on the good and not the bad. I hope this reaches anyone who is feeling down. God bless and I will pray for you.🙏🙏

God's Blessing and love and his peace and balance to you. I appreciate this post and your prayer as well. I come into agreement with you. The biggest thing we can all focus on regardless of who and what we lack is the things we have and the endless possibilities that are available to us as children of God and followers of Christ.

Dont be afraid to call a church friend during the holidays they may invite you over as many will be ok to set another place at the table.
The reason why many dont offer is maybe they just dont know what you going through and assume you already have plans.

Or how about be a friend and invite them to your place...if you up to it. Many might actually be glad to get away from the chaos that is their own families...many in large families actually want to escape the noise!

Years ago I told a friend of mine that "friends don't let friends eat Cracker Barrel for Thanksgiving"

And so we had a Friendsgiving/Thanksgiving...since I am a recovered chef I always prep the day before and show up and finished the feast in his kitchen...and we had a great time. It was relaxed and fun. I have family in the area but I put them off for this.

This year his mother moved into town and said she was going to cook...but then at the last moment she asked him to pick up some food at cracker barrel. In fact it turned out to be ALL of the Thanksgiving dinner.

Yeah...we met yesterday because we just enjoy getting together. But they really really understand the difference now...where family is annoying...friends ROCK. We still tease each other and play and have a good time... watching football and all the rest of it...but...

To have a friend you gotta first be a friend. Our friends have two young boys I take fishing and camping along with their dad...just fun stuff. The boys need a grandpa type figure around.
I enjoy their playfulness too.

Life can be very rich and full...but it requires senseless giving.

I need help. Thank You, Lord.
Pray to God for everything.

Mark 13:11
King James Version

11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
