Ah, another sports movie. There was a thread about the new movie 42 and I think my response towards that fits this one too. It seems all these sports movies follow a specific formula. They usually start off with some drama and tension, then a dash of tragedy, then a little going against the odds, and finally the inspirational ending where everything gets wrapped up in a pretty little bow because the person/team/whatevs wins the championship.

Of course, I mean this in no offense to those who like these kinds of movies, but they all seem the same to me.

Hahaha. I can't watch sports, super hero, rom com, and a lot of action movies because they're too formulaic.

Well, I can deal with the formulaic in Super Hero/Rom Com/Action movies, but for some reason I can't do it with sports movies. Maybe it's because I just don't care about sports that much, they are fun to watch once in a while and much more fun to play, but that's about it. At least in the other genre's there's something pretty (special fx, action, etc.) to look at.

Sooooooo... take it yall didn't look it up or nuffin before disin on it.

Personally, what I do know about sports wouldn't will an empty syringe in Barry Bond's locker room... But it's a good movie.

<bump>
Anyone seen this?
Anyone going to see this?

Anyone heard of this movie?

I haven't seen it nor heard of it. Most of the movies I wait to see until they come to the dollar theater.
