Wasn't Elvis also on the Ed Sullivan Show? Sinatra, hmmm, the lounge singing style has never really much appealed to me. Of course the song's message is important, just reflecting on other things you have said, because to me the music was a decided plus in any offering, to the point where as an adult, I listened to lots of artists for the delicious sounds they produced with their voice AND instruments, while not understanding a word of their foreign language (unless it was translated for me :)). Then of course there are the instrumental artists, and classical music etc. Music itself had the power to transport me aside from any message being articulated through lyrics:)
I was talking about music that ministered to me, mainly before I was saved. Inna Gadda Da Vita, Born to be wild , White room etc. appealed to my musical sense But Watchtower, Subterranean Homesick blues and Creeque Alley. Fed my intellect. No siblings, alone in my room, music, TV, and encyclopedias were my friends.

Tiny talent? No, Art Linkletter, "Kids say the darndest things" yes. Lawrence Welk we all watched together though.
Ah, yes, Art Linkletter, and what about Candid Camera? Lawrence Welk and Merv Griffin shows, now those I do not really recall us ever watching, but if we did, they did not make much of an impression upon me. Many in my large family were also very into hockey, and seasonal playoff games took over the telly :giggle:

Merv? no he was daytime but candid camera yes. Sports? Only Dodgers games, fake wrestling and roller derby. Dad was offended that athletes got paid so much to play games while most folks worked so hard for so little $.
Wrestling and roller derby was funny because we knew it was fake and we laughed at it.

"Countin' flowers on the wall, that don't bother me at all. Playin' solitare till dawn with a deck of 51. Smokin' cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo. Now don't tell me, I've nothin' to do."

The post you replied to was 7 days old. It happens. I sure don't know why they would do that but I know for sure people have complained about me too so don't let it get you down. I'm still here.
I don't know why you believe what he says?
I have not in any way done what he has so boldly and falsely accused me of.

In fact, after KJV reported the user known as BaptistBibleBeliever for his repeated falsehoods and shameless accusations against me, I wrote KJV to thank him for sticking up for me while BBB was trying to stick it to me. My exact words were, "Thank you... though I do not think he should necessarily get banned for being a liar LOL. I could see he was trying to stick it to me from his post about having my name blotted out of the Lamb's book of life. Kind of an in-your-face back stabbing, huh?"

I certainly didn't say I believed him or take his side either. I said I didn't know why you would do that BTW still don't. I saw no reasons or posts to indicate such a thing and really don't know what he was talking about. I just told him not to worry about it.

I missed that and often skip such drivel. I'm not even familiar with the KJV screen name.
