When I was young I met a girl who was a 7th Day Baptist but I don't remember much about if we even talked religion then as we were too busy being friends....But I'd like to know more about their beliefs just to know no other reason.

Good morning peeps. JesusLives, I don't know any 7-Day Baptist, personally. My understanding is they came about around 1860 when the Adventist broke up into so many different congregations.

I am getting the keys to my new apartment today. I'll be off here mostly until I get my Internet set up there. Bear with me.

We are moving to another state in about a week. We don't have a destination so will probably have to stay in a short term place for a little while. I found three homes that I wouldn't mind living in that are for sale but until our home closes all our money is tied up in the house. I am going to write to my Realtor and ask her to ask one of the people selling if we offer them full price would they be willing to wait until our money clears from the bank in about two weeks as closing isn't until the 12th and then the bank takes 5 to 7 days to clear the funds...

Take it nice and steady your move I totally understand the unpacking and such. As I hope by no later than January to be unpacking myself up in Tennessee we are moving from Florida... Cooler weather and season changes here we come - Lord willing.

Just checking in then out for Friday. I had to turn down an apartment today. Made everyone mad at me, but the place looked like a factory. Apartment on the third floor. I said no way. I'll talk some more tomorrow.

I totally understand it is hard finding the right place to live. I thought I had found a house in TN but there was one part of the house that I didn't like the way they had built and addition to the home. It looked like it was hanging and dependent on wood and a single row of blocks holding it up... Just didn't feel right. So I passed on it.

Please requesting prayers for the next several days. We close on our house on the 12th and I have no idea where we will go from there as we start traveling to Tennessee with three cats. Jerry and I have two and my daughter, Melisa has one. We will be driving in two cars with Jerry and I together and Melisa alone other than her cat.

Pray that we find pet friendly hotels at least for a night or two and then pray we find a better solution for a short term place. We did put an offer on a house in Jamestown TN but we now play the waiting game to see if it will be accepted or what the counter will be. We only went $3,500.00 lower than what they were asking, however in TN the market has been crazy and people have been paying over asking price in a lot of places.

Pray God will touch their heart and they will accept our offer as we need to get things done to have a home again soon. I do trust God, movers are coming tomorrow to pack us up then just one night left in my home of close to 17 years and Jerry's home since 2014. I just want to cry as I am a tad overwhelmed at this point and excited too as I can't wait to be back in the mountains and season changes. Give me time I will complain about being cold again at some point I'm sure... Excited to have a smaller mortgage payment although the house is smaller too... I really am excited and a little scared. I don't want to doubt God but going out on trust is like walking out on a limb praying it doesn't crack....

I'm sure God will make the landing work out for us...thanks for your prayers we really need them right now. My cat Tango has been really needy the last few days he knows something is going on, but I don't think he realizes how much his purr helps calm me down as there are times I just want to cry from the stress of this move I have wanted for so long. I thought today it was God's way of helping me know He cares and is here for me with my purring cat.

It is so wonderful when you cry out to God and he hears and answers prayers. It has been so hectic with selling our home and the closing is the 12th knowing that we were going to be homeless for a while and not knowing where we were going. I found a home in Jamestown, TN and everything is new in our price range which is wanting a smaller mortgage than what we were paying as we want to retire. We want to be at the point that if Jerry works it's because he wants to and if one of us died the other one could live and be o.k. money wise.

I put in a lower offer than what the people were asking for a brand new totally remodeled home $3,500 less than their asking price. The Tennessee housing market has been crazy this summer with people paying what the asking price was and in some cases even paying more and getting into an offer war making the price go up on the home...plus I saw dozens of houses raising their price after it had been listed which I personally have never seen before..

My realtor even after I told her my offer price said you might want to go up a little more than that and I said well it isn't asking a lot off of their list price and the worst that they can do is say no and say their list price is firm and they might even counter back with a little off the original price. Well Natasha called me today and she said Darlene they accepted your offer!!!! I was so excited I was hooting and carrying on in joy and tears as I realized we were one step closer to having a home and we wouldn't have to be without an address for more than it takes to close on the home. I even had the realtor in tears we were both so happy because she know how long I have been looking and she has looked hard too ever since we contracted to work together.

So thank you to all who prayed for us and I am so happy and tears of joy and thankful to our Father in Heaven for helping find our new home. Now the paper work begins but we won't have to be staying in expensive short term housing for too long. The storm in the gulf was also not an issue today as the movers packed us up and they got most of our things on the truck they will come back tomorrow and get our table and beds. We will be in a hotel tomorrow night and then on the road to TN after closing.

Praising God tonight for his goodness and mercy and answered prayers, please continue to pray we will have a safe trip and make is safely to TN and that the closing will go smoothly and we find temporary housing. Thank you all for your prayers.
