I'm always pontificating in here, but, last night, I had an opportunity to walk the talk, and preach with my feet, by intervening in a potentially extremely dangerous situation, late last night, and early AM.
I was suspicious of a couple of dangerous dudes at a hotel, and went out at 3:00 AM to assess the situation and moved my car into position to intimidate them just in case. There was a minor with them.
This morning, moved my car again, with some strategic timing, and boldly walked out to his car, where he had the minor and was looking in his back seat, drivers side door. I asked the young lady, "IS EVERYTHING ALRIGHT HERE?!" Even though I suspected it was not, she did the right thing and said, "we're ok." The dude was caught off guard and hid behind his back door. But, I calmly walked back to my room, and even though I had already notified the FBI, I called the police. He could have easily blown me away, and could easily have had a gun in the back seat, since they were already suspicious I was checking it out. As I left to configure my $20 cam system, I thought I heard the LORD say, "impossible."
To me, meaning "impossible" for it to fail with God's help, and "impossible," for anyone to hurt God's servants, who, as one pastor put it years ago--"until we are called by the LORD, we as Christians are bullet-proof."
It felt really good to confront such a menacing looking dude, fearlessly.
And what a way to go anyway, not that I'm suicidal, which I'm not,
