Well ladies, Hows does this grab you as a chat up line ;)

Thy neck is as a tower of ivory; thine eyes like the fishpools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bath-rabbim: thy nose is as the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.


Now..what would you say to that ? :)

I'd respond, "Very nice that you are quoting the bible to me. (Song of Songs I think?) I think you need to take a cold shower my dear!

I would be less than impressed, and i probably wouldn't respond at all until he came up with something more original than having to quote something someone else wrote.

How about this.. "roses are red, violets are blue. I built a Mcdonalds that only serves two. It has its own tv and large living room, so you can watch animals lives as you chew. " :D

I'd probably laugh histerically. just like I did when reading it. Bible verse pick up lines should be well planned out and the person should have a good knowledge ogf the Bible because a woman could reply with another scripture and he would have to be ready for that.

lol your right there.... and of course, wouldn't a lady like a man to have a good relation with Christ and know what scripture says?

(the post was a bit tongue in cheek, I wouldn't imagine anyone quoting from Song of Solomon/songs, mind you I might just try it ;) )

Just as a side thought... what would your scriptural response be???

The first part of Romans 1:13 "And I would not have you ignorant, brethren"

This was a joke a former pastor use to tell in service about what his wife said to him one time, when he first tried to date her.

Yip, I must admit, after plucking up the courage and then hiting the lady with 'the hit chat up line' that rejoinder would certainly have the effect of a stun gun..he he lol
 
but after the shock had settled and to stop another jolt with a stun gun.. a nice reply could be:


Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends

or maybe,

There are three things that amaze me—
