How are our answers being (see 1Pe 3:15; Col 4:6; Titus 1:9; 2Timothy 2:15)?
Until for us answering a question, we need to be careful. See what a becoming word can do for us:
1 – it makes us relish:
• Pro 15:23 -> “A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, and a word in due season, how good it is!”.
2 – it can be an expression of fondness:
• Pro 24:26 -> “Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.”.
3 – it can bring satisfaction and reward:
• Pro 12:14 -> “A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, and the reward of a man's hands shall be given to him.”;
4 – It brings delight in those who love the truth:
• Pro 16:13 -> “Righteous lips are the delight of kings, and they love him who speaks right.”.
5 – It ornaments Jesus’ teachings (see Titus 2:10):
• Pro 25:11,12 -> “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. As a ring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon a hearing ear.”.
In face of this, let’s follow Paul’s advice:
• Eph 4:29 -> “Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect of need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing.”.
Recall that we reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7-9). Besides, the more we have, the more is imparted us (Mat 13:12; 25:29)
• Isa 50:4 -> “The Lord Jehovah has given Me the tongue of the learned, to know to help the weary with a word. He wakens morning by morning, He wakens the ear to hear as the learned.”
So, have a prosperous day and, if you are undergoing some ordeal or predicament, don’t misuse your tongue! Recollect what is written:

• 1Pe 3:10 -> “For he that wants to love life and to see good days, let him restrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile.”.
