How are you in the walking toward the kingdom of heaven?
In Zephaniah’s time, the Creator promised to eliminated 3 kind of people:
• Zephaniah 1:6 -> “And those who have turned back from following the LORD, and those who have not sought the LORD or inquired of Him.”.
First: those who turned back from following the Creator.
Second: those who stopped of seeking the Creator.
Third: those who didn’t inquire of the Creator.
If you pay attention carefully, you will see that these three kind of people are, indeed, the three stages of those who abandon the Creator. They start to swerve turning back from following the Creator. Next, they stop of seeking Him and, finally, they not even ask after the Creator.
This can teach us that the Creator is, always, close to us. Nonetheless, most of the time, we ignore this and try to live by ourselves.
We don’t need (nor can) to live by ourselves. Jesus is always ready to guide us. Nevertheless, for this:
• Zeph 1:7 -> “’ Be silent before the Lord GOD! For the day of the LORD is near, for the LORD has prepared a sacrifice, He has consecrated His guests.”.
Everything is prepared:
• Mat 22:1-4 -> “Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. And he sent out his slaves to call those who had been invited to the wedding feast, and they were unwilling to come. Again he sent out other slaves saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fattened livestock are all butchered and everything is ready; come to the wedding feast””.
Jesus has everything that is good for us already prepared (Eph 1:3; 2Pet 1:3; 1Cor 2:9). But the question is: “and us? Are we ready and with alacrity for what Jesus has for us”?
You can ask: how can we prepare our heart (as it was enjoined to John, the Baptist (Isa 40:3), as Ezra did (Ezra 7:9,10))? Living the excerpt below:
• Rom 12:1,2 -> “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”.
So, have a special day preparing your heart for what Jesus has already prepared for you. Only you can keep your away from all the boons that Jesus has for you.
