How can we know our own heart and how important this is?
• Proverbs 14:10 -> “The heart knows its own bitterness, and a stranger does not share in its joy.”.
Our heart knows what there is inside us. But, what about us? Do we know our heart?
At first, our lean is to say: yes. Nevertheless, see what Jeremiah said:
• Jer 17:9 -> “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?”.
The truth is that not even us know what exists in our heart. We spend so much time trying to find out all the treasures of the science and wisdom that the world has to offer that we forget to deepen in our innermost being in order to discover who we really are.
Many times, our heart is hurt and we can’t perceive this. We feel pain, but we blame people who offend us, instead of researching into the true cause, that is to say, the sin that is hided inside us:
• Jas 1:14-15 -> “But each one is tempted by his lusts, being drawn away and seduced by them. Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin. And sin, when it is fully formed, brings forth death.”
See that what really is sickening in our heart is the sin that harbored in us (Rom 7:17,20). The sin ends up hurting us and killing us little by little. Notwithstanding, instead of coping with this approaching of the throne of the grace (Heb 4:16), most of the people prefer to seek in the law the nemesis on their enemies, overlooking that it is the law that strengthen the sin that is hurting their heart (1Cor 15:56).
Seek out being intimate of Christ, and His feelings in you will proportionate liberty of all deportment which hurt you and your neighbor (Eph 4:17-19). Not to mention that, if you are fraught of the Holy Spirit, you will be able to enlighten the life of people around you and, once Jesus’ joy take over their heart, instead of hurting you, they will be a blessing, once the body acts pursuant to what exists in affluence in their heart (Mat 12:34,35; James 3:2).
Recall that nobody can share in your elation. So, the only way for you reap the joy in the life of people around you is if they are one with you. And this only is feasible if they and you stay in the body of Christ:
• 1Co 12:26 -> “And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is glorified, all the members rejoice with it.”.
So, have a good day seeking, inside you, to Jesus Christ and all His blessings for you and those who He put in your life to love you.
