I know this guy.. He has been through so much in his life, i mean times where he didnt think he could get back up again.. he is very godly and so is his wife.. Things started to look up for him and the past year has been great. His wife was pregnant with twins. Yesterday his twins were born but this little girl not even an hour old died. God took her.. I just dont see how god could take something so precious away from two people who are so deserving the most deserving people i have ever known.. Why would god do such a horrible thing. the little boy is not doing so good either... how can i keep my faith when i dont agree with him taking life from these two people? I pray for them but whos to say i wont wake up tomorrow and little eli be gone too... im hurting for them i just wanted these babies to live for them they needed something good now their world is filled with sadness... i need some insight on this.. someone please help me understand how God could take a life so innocent ... so precious.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear of your friends loss. Sometimes things are hard for us to understand, but I don't think it's fair to blame God. God sent His only son so that death would lose it's sting, so that you and your friends will meet the twin on the other side of eternity. In answer to your question 'how do I keep faith?' Faith comes through hearing the word so I encourage you to read some psalms at this time, be real with God in your prayer and allow Him to comfort you.

Until the new heavens and new earth are made there will be death. There will even be death and suffering during the Millennial Reign of Christ. I feel that if we trust in God our faith must not be shaken by sorrow. Many times our desires do not line up with God's plan, and this makes us sad. But even God can take something horrible like death and turn it into something good. He did with Jesus.

God gave us to our parents and likewise gives us our children. He gives us our jobs and our health and our social status. He gives us everything we have and can take it away and it would be fair because it is his to give and to take away. Job was written for such an occasion as this. And even Job, in his despair, admits that God has the freedom to give and to take away. Job notes here that he came into the world naked and would leave the world naked. Everything here is transient. We should not let it come between us and God.

I'm sorry to hear of the loss.

It's important to remember that God always has a purpose for us, even if we don't always see it straight away.

We will go through trials and tribulations in this world. God purges us, like a father will discipline his child. If you think about it - it's very easy to have faith in Christ when everything is going good for you! But what about when things go wrong? Do we turn to God or do we turn away from him? He is testing our faith and trying to strengthen us as his children.

I went through a very difficult situation several months ago. However, I put my trust in God that I was going through this situation for a reason. I prayed to him and I have to admit that going through the situation was difficult, but it made me stronger. At the end of it, I saw God's purpose for putting me through it. He wanted to clean up a situation in my life and I had to trust that he was leading me in this direction for a reason. It worked out in the end, but I initially didn't see where it was going. It strengthened me though!

I just found a great website for you, on trials and tribulations. Very good reading: http://www.bible-knowledge.com/trials-tribulations/ - there are a lot of scriptures and info on it. You really need to tell your friend to turn to God in this situation. He needs to pray for guidance and support in his situation, not turn his back on God. You have to put God above your spouse and children.

I hope this is of some help and I pray God will give you and your friends strength through this difficult time.

I think that time will help. My little cousin was taken from us, she was 18 months old. It broke my heart, I was angry too. So angry at God but eventually I accepted that he knows better than me. I am still sad although it will soon be 3 years on I don't feel the rage I did. What helped me was spending time with my life group leader and talking to her about my feelings. She reassured me that although I was anrgy it wouldn't last forever and that no mattter how angry I got God still loved me.
I don't really know what to say to you other than I know what it feels like and if you just keep going life will start to get back to normal. Try and remember God always has a plan and you don't get to know the details.

There are things that we cannot fully understand in this world but i know everything has a reason. If you lost somebody doesn't mean he neglected you, things are meant to happen for a purpose and i think it's a test of our faith and character especially when we face the most difficult circumstances in our lives. It's also a test of how much sacrifice are we willing to give for the love of God and how much pain can we endure. I truly believe that once we overcome these trials, God will replace more than what we lost.

There isn't anything we can say that will magically help that couple with what they're struggling through. This is something they need to work out themselves with God. Many people have endured struggles and pain and kept their faith though. Job did. Paul did. The early martyrs did. When it comes down to it, it's not a matter of having roses and sunshine every day - it's a matter of maturity. Who can say where that child went after death and who can say if it is worse or better off now than it was before? I have a number of explanations that deal with falsifiable and unfalsifiable theories, but would you really want them right now? The parents remain and will have to have a heart-to-heart talk with God and choose for themselves what they will do next. I'm praying for them and for you.

Gods ways are not our ways. Sometimes things don't happen because god or the devil had anything to do with it. How can someone be truly greatfull for something they expect. If I expect you to give me $100 and you don't I will be mad at you. If you I don't expect anything from you and you give me $100 I will be greatfull. You and your friends may have been expecting a miraculous intervention and mad because you didn't get one. Sometimes natural events happen and natural effects are seen. God has not taken a life but given that child eternal life. Not misery and trials on earth but every a born again believer looks foward to. That child will be waiting. Its not goodbye. Its natural and healthy to mourn but god is truly blameless. We can't change god or his plan but we can do something about our outlook, our attitude, our faith. God is good there is no evil in him reguardless of what our emotions or situition tells us. Pray. For strength and peace from god amidst the trial instead of blaming him for the trial. In turning away from god you turn away also from seeing that innocent child again in eternity where all tears will be wiped away.
