I guess maybe we should never even say what we think?...i've had such a struggle i've been asking god about that how do i know what i'm thinking is the truth or not? is it just my head? are you trying to tell me something?...i dont even know honestly even know if i've sinned by sharing my thoughts? When someone asked about a bible verse if i can't honestly gather that it's what gods telling me to speak even if it's to witness to help should I just not even try to help them by giving my thoughts on it? this is really been confusing me latley i've been praying about it...Like today I was talking to my mother about a dream that I had to me it meant something diffrent but she told me that God was telling her something diffrent...now i'm not saying my mother was lying to me but how do I know what she was saying was true? How do I know when the pastor at church is interpreting a verse if it's proper or not? Alot of people tell me you'll feel it but I honestly dont feel something every time knowledge is passed on to me....i guess i'm just confused I dont know how to dicern any truth or lie i just process it...now I know that the way is prayer and patience and to ask God to reveal it to me but how do i understand the signs?...even my dreams as of late I think god has been blessing me with them to show me something but how do I honestly know it's not a dream from a demon? I bielieve in God there is no doubt and I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and savior and I have been doing my best to lead a life like the bible teaches...but how do i dicern what is just my thoughts and what is something god is trying to tell me?....someone may give me advice on everything I just asked....how do i know they aren't trying to decieve me or if what they are saying is the truth...if they dont say God has told me should I bielieve them or even if they do say God has told me how can i tell the diffrence in truth or lie?....I'm not trying to be doubting thomas here I guess i just want to feel certain about everything...maybe that's impossible maybe not...it's really mind boggling like it's not something that's causing pain or somethign i'm dwelling on but you get what i mean by what i'm saying?....I know the guilt of a sin for sure i've felt it but when i was speaking my thoughts on what I thought the bible was talking about in Daniel and in Revelations I didn't feel that....does it mean that it was the truth or once again is it my head trying to convince me of something else? Truth is I dont honestly dont know so should I always just not say anything unless I know it to be 100% truth of God even if it's just a question like 2+2? ......pray about this please for me.

We all face this at times in Jesus. :)
This is where faith steps in, Jesus will honor and protect you and all shared and witnessed to.
Many times Ive found myself questioning, but the greatness of Jesus fills all doubts.2 corr.chaptor four is a comfort for this, read it all, as the message helps in these times. :)

I see a bumper sticker from time-to-time that says, "Question Authority." Why was the story about Thomas even included in the bible? Why is it wrong or sinful to question what we believe and are being taught.

I grew up in the church and was often reprimanded for this thought process. But it is my belief that the story of Thomas's doubt was included to show us Jesus' response to the doubt/questions. What did Jesus do? He patiently showed Thomas his wounds.

It is my belief it better to ask for directions, question, challenge and ask for clarification... then to go the wrong way.

It is not a sin to question or doubt. It becomes sin when we refuse to believe when God clearly shows us his wounds. Yes, we have faith and there are somethings we accept on faith but when our faith is shakey we can go to our Father and ask! Sometimes he answers our questions, sometimes he is silent, sometimes he tells us to wait or search for the answer, sometimes he tells us "Be still and know that I am God."

I will pray for you because I feel your uncertainty and pain. God wants to know his children he will answer our questions if they are sincere and not just to badger or block him when he is asking us to use our faith. Take care.

Very interesting. I asked God many questions. But I did not seek the answers as much as I waited for the answers in seeking. I had to seek his kingdom and his righteousness. I didn't know where to start of course, but the bible was a good place.

Well, soon I was shocked just at how wrong much of what I was taught was, and this only came by the Holy Spirit revealing it to me. And he lead me to Jesus Christ, and then I understood more clearly, as Jesus Christ reveals so many mysteries. Satan has always put that question up of, ''Has God really said?'' To cause doubt.

But when we had the faith there was NO QUESTION about it, because of God's pure goodness. God is not evil, so anyone who dies evil has not been born of God. Hard thing to swallow.

May Jesus bless you all.
