How do you cope with the injustice: vengeance or Jesus’ grace?
• Pro 20:3 -> “It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling.”.
But, how can we keep aloof from the strife? The best way is not to start a quarrel:
• Pro 17:14 -> “The beginning of strife is like letting out water, so quit before the quarrel breaks out.”.
Once we get into the strife, hardly ever we will get mood to come out of it. Hence the Holy Scripture says:
• Pro 14:29 -> “ *Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding*, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.”.
• Pro 16:32 -> “*Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty*, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.”.
• Pro 19:11 -> “*Good sense makes one slow to anger*, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.”.
• Pro 14:17 -> “*A man of quick temper acts foolishly*, and a man of evil devices is hated.”.
• Pro 18:6 -> “A fool's lips walk into a fight, and his mouth invites a beating.”.
Of course, there are moments that someone make us angry. However, the Holy Scripture says:
• Eph 4:32 -> “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”.
• Eph 5:1 -> “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.”.
Don’t think about bringing evil against the person:
• Pro 25:8-10 -> “do not hastily bring into court, for what will you do in the end, when your neighbor puts you to shame? Argue your case with your neighbor himself, and do not reveal another's secret, lest he who hears you bring shame upon you, and your ill repute have no end.
Follow Jesus’ advice:
• Mat 18:15-17 -> “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.”.
Otherwise, you can lose a channel of blessing:
• Mat 18:18,19 -> “Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”.
So, if you wish good days, give up on your desires and be receptible to Jesus’ grace. After all:
• Jas 4:1 -> “What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you?”.
Therefore:
• Jas 3:14,15 -> “But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.”.
So, have a good day prioritizing Jesus’ grace. This is the best way of solving all the problems. So much so that it was this that He did for us in order to reconcile us with the Creator:
• Eph 1:6-8 -> “to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight”.
